Early Leavers - Again!

Not interested in why anyone comes in late , going down early at half time or even leaving early , because it’s nothing to do with me ,

Staying till the end , or leaving early doesn’t make you any better or worse of a fan , do what you want to do , normal people don’t care .

Unfortunately the easily offended make it their business to post on here telling everyone they are superior because they stayed and watched the groundsmen cutting the grass ffs.

No one gives a fuck man.
Of course it matters.

You’ve got a team who are exceeding expectations, giving us the best season in almost a generation. Players have repeatedly mentioned how important the crowd have been this season.

So when the game is on a knife edge, they’ve put on in a shift yet again to turn it round, and they see fans streaming out he ground with a good 5 mins left, I see it as a kick in the teeth to them.

A lot more than the couple of seconds it takes to get past someone on the way out I reckon.

You’re comparing apples and pears man .
It's alot more tucked a couple of seconds when you sit on the end and they queue on the stairs to get out meaning you can't see. Or they hanga around the access and block people's view

Mad how you got back so quick. I stayed till the end and got back to Washington at 6.20 but was stuck in car park for about 25 mins

I get back to Hartlepool quicker than you get back to Washington and I'm always there till the game finishes
It is a stinker getting home this season with the extra crowd but I can’t understand how many people want to fuck off early. Especially when we’re winning and the players are putting in shifts like that.

Hasn't changed in the slightest for me, still get home the same time

Has added probably 15/20 minutes onto my journey home this season. Didn’t get back til 10 past 6 last night. Is a slow process getting out of the south stand which doesn’t help like.

It's never made a slight difference to us, walk over the wear bridge and just through Sunniside to where we park and drive off down through Hendon and home. Usually we're back in Hartlepool by 6, sometimes it's a little later but the time is more affected by roadworks than it is crowd size

Nah. I’ve paid to watch the game. I nearly missed Brobbey’s goal against Arsenal because of some self-entitled arsehole. If anyone was to leave early and expect me to stand up and have my view blocked, it wouldn’t be forthcoming. As you early leavers keep saying, “I’ve paid my money, I’ll do what I want” Works both ways mate 👍🏻

The virtue signalling on these leaving early threads is there for all to see.

Leave before the final whistle for any reason and you’re the son of satan in some people’s eyes.

Stay till the final whistle and beyond makes you an honourable member of the Uber fan group.

It’s been done to death ffs.

These leaving early threads are all repetitive and tedious now.

Really? You aren't aware that good atmospheres , with fans behind the players helps the players ? Even though every player comes out and says this ?
Bizarre.
Well it does. Players love crowds being behind the team. It's why several make gestures to lift the support during the game.
And obviously the crowd backs the team better if they are there till the end , rather than exiting when the game is in the balance
Exactly every player praises our fans and atmosphere every pundit praises our atmosphere and we are unbeaten at home. We know this I’m struggling to understand what your moaning about considering were unbeaten?

For how many seconds will that be then ?
in fairness to the poster you replied to it does seem a steady stream towards the end of the game so not just a few seconds.
it doesn't affect us as we chose the middle of the row when the stadium got built for exactly this reason but i can see how it would annoy folk.

That's exactly what annoys me as well. On Saturday, the aisles in the concourse were packed in injury time with people leaving so could barely see owt towards the south stand end. Basically had to stand up which then means everyone behind me has to stand up.

Love this post mate, absolutely 100% correct
Could see the Villa fans leaving early today; however, it only happens at Sunderland though, read it on here....

I sit about 8 seats in , there’s a few around us that leave early, I stand up and let them past and just say see you next match, it’s literally a few seconds per person maximum.

I wouldn’t let it annoy me to be honest.

Why would anyone with a genuine reason feel the need to post this !
f***ing hell. The annoyance is aimed at people who put beating the rush to leave over supporting Sunderland. The genuinely shit apathetic support.
The reason for posting is that the thread basically suggests that anyone leaving early is not a true fan, so I wanted to show that sometimes people have genuine reasons. I admit this doesn't apply to everyone and when I do leave early I don't stop and stand in people's way. However, imo, the worst part is people arriving late at the start of nith halves and leaving their seats around the 35-40 minute mark because of the need to drink. Now that is inexcusable imo, but whatever I or anyone else says they will continue to do it.
