Dutch towns/cities worth visiting for a day

Kerkrade has some canny boozers and used to have a massive nightclub called The Peppermill. Used to be about the size of Cream with the two big rooms, one of which played nowt but Gabba, with a thousand skins giving it large. Was quite the experience.

Valkenburg is really nice, it's a bit of a Dutch/German spa resort but it does have some great architecture, Bars and restaurants. Well worth a visit..

Arnhem, Alkmaar & Delft. Sammy & Jesel recommended Volendam. Its a small town north east of Amsterdam. Get the train to Amsterdam Centraal and then the bus to Volendam.

Delft is somewhere I’ve thought about, also Gouda. Are you still back next month?

Why would you go anywhere else?

Because there’s far better places to visit that aren’t overrun with tourists?

Den Haag is great.. and then you have Scheveningen and Delft not too far away... alternatively, not been, but the locals recommended Bruges as a great day out...
