Colly and Rimmington not involved, so that gives the club the opportunity to open with a proper opener, but given the farce this competition has been, who knows who will open. Wood returns, McCarthy a late addition. Latham gets the chance to captain (hopefully). Let's see how today goes
 

This Dixon just isn't good enough. It baffles me we have McCarthy who was a late addition to the squad who is our own player, not involved due to a loan player, playing instead in a dead rubber game. What on earth does that do for confidence and development of our own players???? We've signed a lad from Somerset permanently who isn't involved today after being named in the squad..... Its a dead rubber game.

Embarrassing excessive amount of drinks breaks by the batting side here. Just taken one in the 42nd, last one was 38 overs. Embarrassing given the conditions
