Durham Cricket Club
Gale out for 9 to Onions after he's caught in the slips. Yorks 28-3 after 10.3 overs.

Just noticed...

GBH no longer opens. How long's this been going on?

Been happening for years in the one day side, but that's the first time I've noticed it in the county championship team.

To be fair like, that's a pretty good new ball partnership.

66-3 and they're off for light.

Is there really any chance of there being a result in this game having already lost a full day? Or do we just try to skittle them and rack up 400 for maximum bonus points then see what happens?

As posted on LMC - Why can't there be more time/overs made available in the Championship when play is lost?? After all, the Test Match has been given ever chance of a result thanks to them playing until well after 7pm. I hate how a bit of rain and the overs are lost forever.

To be honest Andy I think we're playing for bonus points already really. Can't imagine there being enough play in this one to get a result.

Unless a massive thunderstorm is about to deluge everything (in which case it would be RSP) I fail to see how you can be off for light at 1pm in June.

Maybe it's RSP now?

Its been pissing down here in Fatfield for about 20min now and was very dark before that. The weather here is normally what it is at C-l-S or has already happened.

Is it still too darky warky for the yorky workies? ;)

Must be scared of the ghost of Lumley castle or summat

just caught radio mags

they are inspecting at 3.30 taking tea at 15.40 but wont be back out b4 4 at the earliest

They've been off since about half 12, why do they need to take tea? This must be from the same stupid rule that meant tea was taken during the sun in the test yesterday.

Reporter at the ground on TMS - No rain for over an hour but no play either.

Fucks sake.

Saturday 18th June.

Yet more ridiculous scheduling from the ECB sees us face Yorkshire at 11am on Saturday after only returned from Leicester at around midnight the night before......
Wasn't there another match where the start was delayed because the oppo had to play the night before? So presumably we could have asked for that but didn't think it was necessary. It's only a couple of hours hack up the M1/A1 from Leicester that time of night.

2 days might be enough for a result if we only have to bat once, but I would settle for 11 points from this one.

It was Worcester away mate. Day 1 started at midday because they had a floodlit CB40 away at Middlesex the night afore.
