I really want Smith to do well but he really has lost it, if he even had it.

148 to win tomorrow with 9 wickets left should be straightforward, one decent partnership will pretty much do it. Trouble is, any dampness owa night could get the ball nibbling about and if they get a few quick ones we'll be twitching.

Really good day of cricket today. Hughes batted really well and our bowlers stuck at it when maybe a couple of month ago, heads may have dropped.

Pleasing to see Borthwick get 3 wickets today which helped greatly and Thorp silence a few doubters with 5 wickets.

Gutted for Smith with his batting, but he took a top class one handed catch earlier in the day.

The last wicket partnership between Borthwick and Rushworth is proving to be crucial, cracking 6 early in the day by Rushworth as well

All to play for in the morning.

Special mention to Solanki who was honest enough to signal "no catch" when a few thought he'd taken a catch in our 2 innings.

Will smith another guy who has amazingly carved out a first class career as a top order batsmen despite averaging less than 30.... Quite an accolade really.

Game set up nicely for tomorrow.

Although Worcester collapsed i doubt people expected anything else ie thats why they are at the foot of the table.

I expect us to win but it could get tight, especially if Richardson bowls as he can. I'm sure it'll get panicky at some stage.

Some shocking averages for Durham this season:

Was under 30 last time i checked. Source?

unlikely to have gone up, he is probably averaging around 10-12 this year.

just checked cricinfo, 31.34 is correct according to that.

edit: averaging 16 this year. unbelievable reading this

very nice to see what youth we have in our bowling attack, just hope our promising young batsmen can step up in similar fashion.

rocky & jenners to shine tomorrow hopefully
