Collingwood scores 17 from 22 deliveries including four fours?

Score or perish on this pitch

Or both

Stokes had the right idea. Maybe we should have been even more aggressive

oooooooo 1 more for a point

yesssss

215/9 at stumps

Borthwick and Rushworth showing up a few batsmen!

And some people say Borthwick shouldn't play cos he doesn't bowl enough and Rushy only gets a game cos he used to be the captains cousin.
There's nowt as queer as folk.

Yet another Jekyll and Hyde day in this seasons County Championship!

I was owa the moon to have bowled them out for 120, but when we were 8-2 I feared a first innings deficit! Jennings and Stokes batted well to take us to 80-3 and I'm sure Jennings - who has batted very 'maturely' it seems since being brought in - will have been gutted not to have made it to Tea.

After Tea, Benks supported the excellent Stokes to take us to a lead before Stokes got bowled, mind Stokes again will be kicking himself having looked 'nailed on' (as Marty and the Worcs commentator said) for a ton.

However after that we collapsed really, Benk, Colly and Mustard all fell in a cluster. Thorp and Onions added a few with Borthwick and then Rushworth helped Scotty to the close. From about 130-3 I was thinking we'd stroll to 250 so when we slipped to about 195-9 I was a bit pissed off. Mind in reflection we have a batting point and a lead of 95, if we can get to a three figure lead it could be a big boost psychologically.

Batting seemed fairly straight forward for Jennings and Stokes either side of Tea so it would be possible for them to make a few partnerships second time around. I certainly wouldn't expect them to bat as badly again but if we can have say 4 wickets by the time they get parity i'd fancy us to not let them get a lead of much over 130. Mind owt over 150 on this wicket could be tricky in the final innings.

anyone if the pitch inspectors were fussed today?

They took a look during the lunch interval, but I'm informed they weren't concerned when they looked but will monitor it later if needs be.

A really enjoyable day of cricket today. When we started our innings, I was satisfied with a lead of 80, so at the moment I'm delighted with our effort.

Jennings and Stokes batted really well today. Borthwick and Rushworth have put on a useful 22 runs which got us a crucial batting point.

We'll see how it all goes tomorrow, but today has been a very good day for Durham.

That lead is just about to disappear. Worcs 112/0.

Need a breakthrough soon.

Great day for batting, sun and strong wind drying the pitch out fast

Just hope we bat in similar conditions!

Shows once and for all there's nowt wrong with the wicket, it's just been damp

Most here suggest the pitch is bone dry. Hughes batted very well. Just got to hope we can get more wickeks quickly.
