Difficult choice for the management here, who to leave out.
It looks like either Thorp/ Rushworth to miss out on this one. They can't leave Woody out after saturday, and I don't see them playing without a spinner, so seems the squad has a seamer too many.
Do they go for experience or recent form? Rushworth has the better figures over the last 5 CC games but Thorp has the experience, a tough choice.
Personally, I'd leave Thorp out just for the reason that Rushworth has been opening the bowling with Onions and the partnership seems to work really well together, Rushworth bowled tight from one end during the 1st innings v Notts which gave Onions the chance to have a good blast without worrying about his run rate, ( which was over 5.5 an over at one point) and Rushworth got the vital breakthrough during the second innings that started the rot.
Whoever is in the final eleven, here's hoping they all chip in and get us the win that will virtually guarantee us safety.
