Can you imagine if you were a Worcestershire fan and asked to chase 180+ in 24 overs in response to our laboured batting effort?

Three games in a row our top order has prodded and poked their way through the power play. Just play a pinch hitter FFS.

We’ve won two of those three games - means to an end evidently.

Oh thanks for the compliment unbiased one.

I am unbiased, I’ve said many times in the past when DLS has benefited us (or England).

As has been alluded to, it’s an outdated method that doesn’t work in a lot of instances.

In spite of their performances, and due to heroics from Bancroft.
Surely we can't criticise the performance against Northants. We won at a canter. Only lost 4 wickets, 2 centuries and 1 fifty winning by 72 runs. Arguably Salisbury the best bowling taking run rate and wicket into account.
Against Leics, again only lost 4 wickets and won with more than 4 overs to spare.

I'm not criticising the overall performance, but the performance of our top order which resulted in Worcs being given a comfortable DLS chase.

Against Northants we were 2 down after 2 overs. Against Leicestershire, we were about 20/2 after 10. Worcestershire it was 38/2 off 10 overs. You've got to have players up top who can make runs from the powerplay. For a supposed white ball specialist, Clark has just prodded at the ball for a few overs before getting out to a bad shot.
