Durham v Warwickshire - LVCC

have Durham been hampered by the good weather, usually you get damp green tops until June meaning our seam attack makes hay, but we are struggling to bowl sides out at the minute as we lack a class spinner

You'd have thought seamers would prosper today mind

Benks is on, not usually a good sign

I suppose we will see once Durham bat just how good/bad the track really is. They won the toss and chose to bat of course while Benks said we'd have fielded anyway......

Need atleast two more wickets tonight.

Totally uninspired performance by Durham. It was my first trip down for a Championship game in a while.
Dropped catches a plenty. Benks was a mute all day, no one geeing each other up, except for Muchall.
Blackwell looks so out of shape he could get a game for SMBCC.Stokes bowling was a joke, he was kept on for 2 overs too many
Onions looked as if he struggled to get to the wicket but I'll accept he is just coming back from injury and we were very short on the bowling front.

Agreed. Missed the last two wickets but TBH the cricket was very poor. Perhaps the worst days play from DCCC since the Kent game last year. Came away early for the first time in yonks.

I left at tea. Surprised by the lack of fanny at the ground!!!!!!!

Or 3 would be better :-D

Mind I still think we need two more tonight :-O

Someone made a comment earlier about only ever being a wicket or two away from competetive no matter what the total is and I suppose now it makes sense to me. At 328-4 we looked like we could be dead and burried. Now at 341-7 we're still alive!

Brathwaite picking up wickets again. Must have a chance of keeping his place in the team ahead of Thorp/Claydon etc.

Hopefully they wont get too many more.

has helped us in getting more (batting) bonus points I would say, even if results have been more difficult.

You have always massively overplayed the 'green tops' in England business. Of course there is generally a bit in it for the seamers early season but that all - wickets early season in England are good cricket wickets and are not massively in favour of bat or ball.

where you been recently.......praying for rain for Jimmy against Sri Lanka

Nice early wicket for onions, 347/8 now. Best out for 1 flicking it off his hip to square leg.

And another wicket down, brathwaite woth one that looked to keep low bowled miller for 1

BBC, cricinfo and ECB app all havent updated in over half an hour. Is it raining, or are they just all fucked?

411/9 they should have been all out for 349 but the unpire was running away and not looking at the run out, looked a mile out his ground. Woakes on 61 and looking set for the day!

Lunch, 426/9 not lookin quite as good now as earlier in the day!
