30 points from top, and 30 points from bottomSo if we had beaten Somerset, which we could/should have, we'd be on 100 points, on the coat tails of the leaders and arguably as important, 16 points nearer safety. A waste.

For the 2nd half of the CC programme it's extremely likely that our centrally contracted players will be unavailable for Durham leaving an attack of Raine,Wagner and unproven youngsters. Which is why North should be at the members' forum tomorrow to inform members how he intends to strengthen the attack for this stage.TBH lads with how it’s gone so far I’d snap your hands off for 7th or 8th.
Yeah it seems almost negligent how bad the attack looks. Appreciate we’ve had injuries and call ups but every Director of Cricket has to deal with those issues. For the 2nd half of the CC programme it's extremely likely that our centrally contracted players will be unavailable for Durham leaving an attack of Raine,Wagner and unproven youngsters. Relegation will become almost inevitable if this issue is not addressed.

The whole squad looks unbalanced. We have batsmen coming out of our ears but look light on bowlers.
And the batsmen we’ve brought in have been pretty crap so far bar the odd innings.

From a Yorkshire supporter. Durham have no chance of going down, it will be Yorkshire & Worcestershire, if 2 go down. However a change to 12 or 10 matches could mean 3 or even 4 go down. For the 2nd half of the CC programme it's extremely likely that our centrally contracted players will be unavailable for Durham leaving an attack of Raine,Wagner and unproven youngsters. I don't agree with the relegation part of that, but maybe more of a possibility than otherwise. For the 2nd half of the CC programme it's extremely likely that our centrally contracted players will be unavailable for Durham leaving an attack of Raine,Wagner and unproven youngsters. I reckon they expected more from Rhodes than they got. He's a puzzle to me. Wasn't he Worcs captain last year or something. To be captain you'd expect a solid player, but he's been solidly average. I wonder what the problem with him is? I presume he's actually better than he's shown so far. So why hasn't he done better.

A career batting average nearing 35 and 1000 CC runs as recent as last season suggests Rhodes is better than average but Durham have yet to see it. He's recently signed for Tynemouth which suggests he wants to play some red ball cricket during the CC break to regain form so credit to the lad.his record is fairly average like tbf, I think he’s just a steady CC player out of form but that’s about it
He wouldn’t get in our be XI even if he was in form for me
The reduction in matches I've heard is very much on the cards, are you hearing the 3 league system is back on?From a Yorkshire supporter. Durham have no chance of going down, it will be Yorkshire & Worcestershire, if 2 go down. However a change to 12 or 10 matches could mean 3 or even 4 go down.
They are talking about 2 options. 9 in each Division and 12 matches or 6 in each Division and 10 matches. If the former then 3 will go down and 2 up, if the latter 4 will go down and no one up. 12 matches means play 4 of the other teams twice and 4 teams once, 10 matches = just play the other 5 teams twice. Relegation could be 3 or 4, or just 2 if nothing is changed (very unlikely). The reduction in matches I've heard is very much on the cards, are you hearing the 3 league system is back on?

I've heard they want to start the season with the 50 over comp then the 1st class comp but as you say have it reduced to 12 matches. They are talking about 2 options. 9 in each Division and 12 matches or 6 in each Division and 10 matches.
