Yeh it is are you still defending steel

Major disappointment so far this season but truth be known I have taken very little notice of this season, I just can't get into watching live streams/refreshing bbc sport, it's a bit shit to be honest. When I drive by Riverside Park 200 yards from the ground, twice today to see it absolutely packed...…. only to be told I cant watch cricket 200 yards away, it's all just a joke

Don't get how you can go to pub but not cricket hopefully they can get some in for the 20/20 but unlikely

the very pub actually on the ground as well.

the park over the road from the ground was packed today, silly rules make no sense. just spoils it really.

Know how you feel. I watched one over today on the stream to go with the two overs I watched of the Yorkshire game ( not counting the four 'restricted view" overs I saw last Monday morning.)

I normally struggle with the stream for more than a few overs but really enjoyed it yesterday. Really something Durham should be aspiring to.
Totally agree with the views on no spectators it's a farce and county cricket would have been the perfect sport to reintroduce people to sporting events, big open venues small membership. Even if they had have started the Yorkshire match with only 100/200 spectators and built it up steadily.
As far as the team go they very much resemble the sides from the late 90s early noughties and that is not a great look.

I’m curious to know what Franklin’s thinking is on how we’ve approached batting this last two weeks. We seem to be trying to block the shit out of everything. It’s very perculiar and I don’t know whether it’s to do with how they expect the pitch to (mis)behave or because there’s no confidence in our batting. Scoring is painfully slow and clearly if it’s a conscious tactic it hasn’t worked. Yesterday especially was shambolic when you look at the runs we made in the overs we batted. Some teams batting that long would’ve made 300+ and that still isn’t ‘aggressive’.

Think we’ll be soundly beaten again, probably inside 3 days and that will already have ended any hopes of progressing.

The whole thing is just so uninspiring though.

Roll on 2021

i know you haven't said it, but obviously we all understand this isn't durham ccc fault. just another in a long list of FTECB moments. As said above, cricket is the perfect sport for social distancing. All out door with 200 yards between each spectator if needed

Club are blameless. It pissed me off yesterday driving by and seeing the park over the road absolutely packed. I just don't get it and have accepted cricket is a write off for this season which is a massive shame. Hopefully we can get back to some normality next season.

aye, im hoping to catch some up whitburn and looking forward to trying to get some more of me mates into going to durham next year with this defender offer. even without the offers i was never going to try and get membership money back tbh

Not sure youcan Even blame the FTECB on this one.

honestly, i dont know who decides that london teams can trial supporters whilst we can't but don't deny me a chance to say FTECB
To be fair to the Surrey CEO Gould he was very proactive and clearly leading the way in terms of supporters attending county matches. Not sure how far the line we where as our PR is dreadful so I tend to have a cynical view as a member for nearl 25 years.
