Was exactly the same on Monday when I was peering through the locked gate at a deserted Riverside and then walked through the park where it was like a free for all.

Lee's batting well. His technique of taking a guard outside off stump when the bowlers come around the wicket is definitely working.

Judging by their batting in these first two games perhaps the decision not to allow spectators in was done more out of a sense of sympathy for the Durham supporters.
