Durham v Kent (A) C.C. 15/5/26

I’m going to be a complete arse about it, will let you know how I get on
Cheers, you can add my details if you want, can send my ticket etc.
Am going to send an email tomorrow to Kent, or Tuesday at the latest, but not sure where to go when they knock me back.
Don't even know if there's an ombudsman for this. And it's a very small claim.
Was going to threaten socials, but am not on any at all. Only one I'm on is this.
I can live without the £22 but still furious about their attitude.

I’ve sent a snooty email already, and I’ll threaten all sorts of stuff.

They’ve blocked comments on socials anyway

Not sure why Durham would object. They've no chance of winning and today has helped them get closer to the draw which is the best they can hope for.

Kent must be bloody fuming though

Some dude on the twitter........

Word among the crowd here is that a gasket failed overnight on the covers, which leaked. And a Kent fan says he has heard Durham have objected to the pitch.
Surely the decision on whether the outfield is fit for play, similar to weather conditions is solely down to the umpire? Sounds like Kent fans are trying to find excuses for the incompetence of their groundsmen.

I think they were objecting to starting, if anything.
Got a link for that please?

I'd guess there would be consultation with the captains in the unusual circumstances with their opinions being sought.
Yeah, £18 day before.
On the tram now, still livid with a complaint I made to the Secretary, Jay Stedwick, or a similar name.
He told me their policy, as we know is under 16 overs gets a free ticket.
Wasn't interested that I'm a Durham fan, cant go tomorrow and won't see Kent this season.
He said they're extending the offer of a free ticket to the England game in a few weeks Lions or ladies, not sure, obviously told hum the same applies to me.
I said I wouldn't be bothered if it was rain, but the game is not being played because of their incompetence.
He actually said it wasn't the fault of the people. working there! Pointing out that that was irrelevant made no difference.
I asked who else could I complain to, he said he's in charge.
Anyone got any ideas?

(Jay Stedman?)

Anyway, email the CEO. Their emails seem to be in the format [email protected]

So [email protected] ??

with a solid order of cc'ing to the great and good.............

At least one of them should see the absurdity of the situation.

I read it as us objecting to playing on a pitch that was clearly damp on a length, because no good could’ve come from having to bat on it whilst still a long way from saving the follow-on.

Good for us for digging our heels in, the pitch would’ve been a minefield if it was damp on a length and would’ve been a huge advantage for the fielding side.
