Durham t20 v northants Wednesday


This is a twatul performance. Why does anyone bat first when you win the toss? Surely the chasing team always has a massive advantage.
 
The stewards and the two ‘security’ are a shambles! An old pervert kept letting a lass down the one way part but stopped literally everyone else, the rest just stood and watched all aisles being blocked and the two heavies (literally) were as much use as tits on a fish!

Same the club have set a precedent now. Free for all for all now. Just arrived back at Washington to the in laws. Poor night

Well we've all enjoyed it and are keen to go more often, which I'm pleased about as I went regularly til the twins arrived 10 year back, it was a bit overkill by the stewarding with regards to the covid restrictions whe you could see the mess at the opposite side of the ground, as for the cricket some great stuff played sadly most of it was by northants, and I'd told the bairns not to expect too many 6's as the field is massive but I re-iterate we have all enjoyed it including her indoors

Couldn’t park in usual spot , couldn’t sit in my normal area. Students not wearing face masks. I’m told to wear my face mask!Loyal fans have been treated shabbily tonight…… In defence of the students, they did create a good atmosphere.
 
Typical north east team performance against a bottom team
Second best by a very long way.Durham started off very scratchily with a very poor power play where it looked like because of the wicket it was difficult to time the ball( which proved not to be the case when Rossington batted)
From about 50 for 4 After again struggling against slow bowling Dickson,Bancroft and Carse achieved a target which looked defenseable
but that was put into sharp perspective by the incise striking and placement by Rossington and partner.
I do hope we do not go on a losing streak now because this hammering may undermine confidence and belief
