Durham set to join race to host 2023 test

Canny fair minded article by George Dobell once again. If Durham bid and win the preferred ''home" venue would be either South North, Richmond or Scarborough .On a serious note the club would be on a hiding to nothing.Best to stay well clear 🤔

If Durham get it, it would be v Ireland, probably from Monday to Friday, in the first week in April.

This is what Bostock basically said at the pre season meeting - if we get a test, it will be against a smaller nation and at the wrong end of the season. That’s why we didn’t want one. I have a lot of time for George Dobell, but I suspect he’s wrong about Durham being in the running for this.

But then again, what do I know 😀

The article states there are concerns about Durham selling enough tickets. Seems a strange comment. We’re t tests at Durham always very well attended?

No because we mainly got unpopular nations in April or May.

But don't believe we sold out the ashes either. I wish I'd gone mind, been far too long since I went to a test.

Does anyone enjoy going on there own?
