Lucky lucky lucky @yorkshireccc getting Steve harmy on loan ! Whoever is in charge of Durham needs sacking ! #stupid #comeonthetykes

Talk about uninformed.

It would be interesting to find out who's decision it was to send him away, you would think Cook had the final say but I wonder if Colly had anything to do with it. I'm just guessing as I've no idea if Colly and Harmison get on

Before the season started I got told that Collingwood wanted to be captain, but wouldn't take over while Harmison was around (presumably because he was a bit difficult).

As it turned out within a day or so of Colly taking over, Harmison was on his way, and these things don't just happen overnight.

Personally I'm glad to see the back of him as he's done little since he finished with England - just been going through the motions on the odd occasion he's turned out.

Making his debut tomorrow -weather permitting.

He and Mitchell Starc will probably give Yorkshire the fastest, yet possibly most eratic, new ball bowlers on the county circuit.

Did hear a rumour a couple of month ago that Colly was offered the captaincy but turned it down. Few people had then gone onto say this wasn't true.

I'm delighted to see the back of Harmison, hope he never returns.

Not really seen him bowl in a couple of years (but I guess few have) but I was under the impression his pace was well down now, with a much shortened run up. Hence why he tended to go for so many runs when he played, but he doesn't have the pace to bowl the way he does.

His run up is a lot shorter now.

Agree with that, when he first came back after losing his England place he looked decent, but since the recall never came he has just gone through the motions and never looked interested, even more so after Durham released his brother.

He was quick and aggressive at Worcester last year on his return from the broken wrist incident. Roughed up the batsmen and got 7 wickets in a Durham win. His contribution was significant but overshadowed by the batting performance. Got injured and did not look like regaining his form ,pace or agression.

Big Harmy fan but he's a spent force now and if he can't be arsed then little point persevering with him.

Re: Collingwood captaincy - baffled me as to why he wasn't given it at the beginning of the season, talk about an obvious choice for all 3 formats, doubt he would have turned it down either.

3 wickets today - along with 6 wides and assorted no balls.

To be fair, he was very much more effective and on line in his second spell. In this battle of the top 2, he could be bowling Yorkshire into Durham's place in the first division.
