A week tomorrow.
A cracking day out awaits again.
I have, you’re not missing much.
You should mate. Its more a heritage event now, but still a bit political. Gives me a chance to meet up with me mates of 40 years ago.
We were a shipyard family.
Still a lot of common ground. New Blackhall banner gets blessed this year I believe.
Been hijacked by students on the piss. It’s awful.
You do talk pure shite at times.
There's not even any students in Durham in mid-July you absolute whopper.
Take a packed lunch iirc
This will be annual bullshit thread no doubt.
It is a great day and focuses on the modern heritage of Durham and County Durham where when mining was at its peak there were 153,000 miners.
Trade union membership among Durham's pitmen was 105% (work that out!)
Been hijacked by anyone and everyone on the piss.
There were some righty type goppers knocking around last year trying to get a reaction, but apart from that it was great.
It's better when the sun is blazing which it has been these last few. A great day out.
Regular attender are you? Your post is Bo Lox.
Every year. I'm one of the anyone and everyone on the piss
That explains it all.
My initial post was just a bit humour at what @PhilSAFC had posted earlier in the thread. No need to take things so literally fella.
I love the day out and the occasion, love living in Durham and I'm proud of it.
im an ex miner but it clashes with york races on the same day.. no contest really..
End of term all ( well the majority) have gone back home now
