Even though he did fine, giving a wage to van Meekeren (sp) last year when Rushy while playing for Sacriston in the NEPL was mad too.

If you’ve got budget save it for one quality player rather than spreading it around three journeymen.

Totally totally agree

Quality additions are great there’s no point spending on journeyman

And it’s not just my view we aren’t winning any games at all

Rushy not being played is poor, but it's the way the club have gone in an effort to prolong his career. Whether I agree with that or not doesn't matter, given that's what's happening van meekeren was a great signing and the only thing mad was not bringing him back. At Gloucester now isn't he? He'd be a much better player for us than coughlin is right now.

We'd not have made the final without him so I can't agree

Rushy was bowling overs in the NEPL at the time so I don’t see how not playing him in T20 benefitted him from that POV.

If you treat it as a development comp you play your kids. If you treat it as an important comp you play Rushy (or at least you did til this year).

The current attitude to white ball is just bizarre. Yes VM worked last season but that was the exception to the rule.

It's daft. Rushy is the ideal bowler for T20 and whiteball in general. We're lucky we haven't fucked him off over this in the same way it obviously irritated onions. I doubt he is happy about it like.

Totally agree with everything you say but will never agree we shouldn't have signed van meekeren. You can't just play kids, you need some experience and quality to show them what to replicate. We've clearly been a bowler light in all forms of cricket this season
