I think there is another young lad who has been with the squad these last few days... Mcalindon? (I know nothing about him).

Whole thing is just absolutely shite. Crawshaw and Doneathy need to be involved soon as well.

We sign a wicket keeper yet continue to play Eckersley :lol: when we have a wicket keeper in the 2nd XI. Some may even consider Bedingham as a wicket keeper, so some could rightly argue we are playing 3 wicket keepers

My sons on the knockings of Durham’s youth team like it’s a honour and a worry at the same time seem to waste a lot of young talent and piss them about.

I saw Crawshaw play a superb innings yesterday. Unbeaten 120 in 100 balls. I'm biased but Crawshaw and Bushnell could do a job for Durham.

I know Crawshaw played a few T20s for Durham last season but he was used mainly as a bowler. Didn't really get a chance with the bat.

benjamin batted superbly. it is allowed.

Yeah I heard he batted well.

It's absolutely disgraceful watching Durham at the moment, humiliated yet again and the young players must be wondering what do they have to do to get a chance when they see the senior players serve up dross week in week out. The Drissell example today just about sums it all up when we have 2 young lads already in the squad who could have done more... Drissell didn't even bat or bowl yet we have sent him down to Birmingham having played yesterday for his club.

Let's be honest the younger players didn't let us down last season did they? It's about time they were given a chance. We're going absolutely nowhere with Franklin in charge, he;s out his depth and results speak for themselves, I've been through all this before so won't again. He clearly doesn't like the younger players.

I'd sooner watch the younger players learning their trade than some of the dross served up by some of the senior players.

Maybe I'm asking too much, I mean we don't even know if Jack Campbell exists anymore :lol::lol:
 
All over! I reckon there will be changes for Wednesday. Hopefully don't throw all the kids in together but time to give them a chance.
But really with 4 England players not available and our gun overseas injured we look well short if the required standard.

I’m disappointed with the strategy tbh.

I’m not expecting Durham to go far as we don’t have the players but what is the point of picking middling players like Ned, Ollie Robinson and drissell

This is a free hit to try out some of our most promising talent

I just don’t understand and it’s not what I want from Durham

If you had good players like Dickson and lees playing fair enough

But to have this many players missing and not play your own. To me you can see we have/ coach and director of cricket from outside the area
