I was actually quite pleased to see Michael Jones getting some white ball game time. I quite like him as a batsman (sorry, batter) and he never usually gets a look in in the short forms. Probably wouldn’t have last night either if Dickson was fit.

Good for his development as a young player, methinks. I think we all acknowledge we probably aren’t going to win this competition, so why not?

What!!! After last neet I’ve been booking a hotel in Birmingham for finals day ;)
 
Nailed on unchanged XI for tonight not that they have many options.
The only thing from last night is one of those top 5 batters bats through the innings and Coggers Carse and the rest of the tail can tee off at the other end.
I thought the bowling and fielding was good.
Not sure what Northants are like this season but got off to a poor start at Edgbaston last night. There team looked pretty full of county journey men.

Not sure of Badger's role at 11 in the batting order .🤔 Surely better suited at 3 ? which allows him to practice the cut shot 😉 Not seen much of Olly R to know if he's a big hitter or not.Either way it's a strong batting order with Raine at 10/11.

I think if they have made that decision to bat Robinson at 3 then they probably have to stick with it for a few games. As far as no 6 to no 11 it much of a muchness. I suppose Coggers and Carse are the quickest between the wickets. Coggers is one of the best runners between the wickets I have seen. I reckon Borthwick could come in up the order if it all goes pear shaped in an innings and we need s nurdler.

Scott being under used here in my opinion

He’s a great ball striker just not brutal but can pick the gaps

Hope he bowls well

I was doing some research for work and found an article from 2013 I think with him n stokes on their first full seasons, you forgot what a talented young bowler he was

I really feel strongly the lad needs to get back to bowling, he’s a talent.
