Drones

The photo posted here could be interpreted as being illegal as that model is over 250 grams

You are not permitted to fly near recreational, industrial, residential or commercial areas - but like all regs they are not 100 percent clear.

A beach could be determined to be recreational

However, it is also about risk. He is flying over the sea at night. And there is no chance there could be people below the drone that could be injured if the drone crashed.

I also have the A2 CofC and as can be seen, there's nobody there

To be honest the average police officer is not going to have enough of an awareness of CAA regs to arrest you anyway.

it would only be the impact if something happened when flying.

Is there not a thread for drone photography or even just a photos thread? I know there's a photography section but can't seem to find just a general photos thread

Any drone owners on here? I’m a videographer and currently a bit Donald Ducked due to this virus so have just bought a Mavic Air 2 which is on its way from Chyy-na as we speak. Hoping to make some money with some “very” remote videos. Got a couple of jobs with property developers lined up and wracking my brain to think of some other industry’s that may be interested.
might sound daft, but Asbesto's Removal Companies ?

Cant be bothered to read back, just want to know what I have to spend on something that has a quality camera and is "easy fly"

Champion. The original mini took a hell of a price drop last week, £259 for the flymore package in argos. Sold out now, getting rid of old stock i recon, make way for the mini 3.
just collected mine from Argos, never had a drone and the mini seems ideal for beginners. Shame the weather is cråp atm, doubt I'll get out with it anytime soon

Did you get it for the £259? Seen it on hukd. A cracking deal in all honesty, some lucky sods got a free charging pod too.

Finished work today and was looking forward to getting out with mine tomorrow, and then the high winds started.

A lad from work is off to Scotland tomorrow with his drone to get some footage of snowy mountains and stuff. He's our aerial photographer/videographer so looking forward to seeing what he gets.

He's got quite a few drones but he's taking the Air2s

Crashed my Mini 2 just before Christmas, lost two of the gimbal shock absorbers and snapped one of the gimbal mounts.
I've epoxied the leg back together and the shock absorbers have came today and I'll fit them tomorrow.
It's cost me less than 7 quid to repair, thankfully. When it initially happened I thought it'd be hundreds.
