Firstly, there’s nothing wrong with the current ticket office.

Secondly, fewer and fewer will be using the new ticket office if results and performances persist as they have.

Which thirdly, actually suggest further downsizing. The new ticket office will probably be stuck in the club shop and the old ticket office building will be sold off, or they’ll use it as Bridle Insurance HQ or some bollocks like that.
Other way round mate. They're moving the shop to the ticket office building. Makes sense and better use of the space to combine the two and get more footfall as well.

Unfortunately the two go hand in hand. If the finances aren’t there to invest in scouting, coaches, players wages, transfer fees etc then it makes life a lot more difficult to sort the football out.

In fairness, it was the owners who decided to open the Pandora’s box about football finances and transparency; only they opened it and haven’t been completely clear or transparent with their explanations

100% and he DIDNT really talk about that. Honestly he sounds like a mobile phone salesman with the headlights shone on him!

Is he the boss or a fan? He's the boss!!

Chinese business proverb..

When a worker is late for work he's a stupid lazy ****. When the boss is late he's been .. busy.

He needs to act more busy!!!

@Grumpy Old Man your good with the money side of things, do you know what SD means when he said Madrox owes him £20mil? How does it owe him £20mil?

Presumably money he's put in to pay Short (Madrox owed him £5m at the 2018 year endin respect of this), plus any money that's gone into the club (paying off the amount due to SAFC). It's a director's loan, exactly the same as we had with Short. It's just owed by Madrox, not Sunderland.

Been running the show almost single-handedly, apparently.
New the wonder we're shite then.

Fair play for Donald for fronting up. However as I’ve said all along it’s not a character thing for me - or even a financial one. It’s about poor strategy on the football side and has been from the start. I can’t think of one football decision that’s been made during his ownership that has really moved us forward. Doubling down on the personnel and thinking that have failed so completely over the past 18 months doesn’t strike me as a good move.

Cheers mate, just I’ve seen stuff about the parachute payments used to pay for the club so was thinking is he putting that in money he thinks he’s owed. The parachute money just seems to have gone somewhere but no trace to be seen i think. Madrox doesn’t own anything else other than SAFC?

Aye but Madrox took £10m out of Sunderland.

When the club was sold, Short took over the final £25m of the SBC loan. The parachute was used to pay that part of the purchase price. The remaining £15m came from Donald. This implies he's put £5m into the club.

Which Madrox owes to Sunderland.

Madrox and Donald are one and the same in my eyes. What about Sartori's £3m?

I’m glad Donald has spoken. Some of it could be clever language - I turned down 30mill could be I reckon I could make more, if I don’t perform they take over - well if they didn’t want to take over why have they said they might take over - but overall I think the pressure we have put him under has made him reflect and It will up his (their) game. That’s the power we have - its costly for him to not listen but that interview says he’s listening so respect to him. Now they all need to walk the walk and do it.

In law, they're not. Sartori's money has nothing to do with the club at all. Sartori owns 20 £1 shares in Madrox, which he bought from Donald. How much he paid Donald for them is between him and Donald. People simply assumed that he put £3m in because it's 20% of £15m. That's not necessarily the case.

Yeah I know in law. Your last sentence is interesting.

How is he having a mare?

This is exactly what’s wrong here, people (negative twats!) only hear what they want to hear. They fill in the blanks with absolute drivel.

He come across very well (as ever)

He gave very sensible answers and clarified everything. What’s the problem?
That was typed as the interview was ongoing, he turned it round quite well in the end.

He was being asked question at the time and completely avoiding the question posed.

i.e. ‘If you or Juan could put the money in like you say, Why didn’t you?’ - he then waffled on about something completely different which meant the question never got answered.

I have a suspicion the 30 million offer was the Campbell one that fell through. Campbell who couldn't get a takeover with Falkirk done.
