I suspect we do mate. She’s kept me sane, kept me straight and kept me alive, and kept me out of prison. All of the things I have achieved in my life she’s been with me all the way. She’s my touchstone and my best mate. I owe her everything.

Strategy and finance dictate everything.

If you enjoy a discussion about who is out of form or tactical variations then great but the majority of it is preordained by the other stuff.

I don’t buy this running away stuff some accuse him of. He’s obviously been working massively long weeks while the takeover was being discussed at a time when his family circumstances should have dictated his attention was elsewhere.

Yes there will be some that say he knew the size of the club etc and sacrifices need to be made but even though SAFC is a massive part of my life and has been for over 50 years I’d draw the line if my direct family’s health was such that my attention was required at home.

Yes it’s undoubtedly true that he’s made mistakes (staying on Twitter was in my view always destined to end in tears) but I also believe most of them were made with the best of intentions.

It’s very easy to become cynical and always doubt someone’s integrity but my view of SD is that he’s trying the best he can to bring success to the club. It hasn’t always worked out but we don’t live in a perfect world.

I’ll continue to support him and wish him every success at Sunderland.

I couldn't disagree more, strategy and finance are of the utmost importance.

As for people being influenced, there were a couple who said this in January and got hammered for it. The difference being is the majority perceived failure on to many match days.

Agreed. It's just when you see the biggest moaners on here often don't go to many (if any) matches you realise that it's not and could never be classed as a true representation of your proper match day supporter.
Negative opinions are magnified ten fold simply by the constant stream from a fair few posters that you'd think it was coming from all corners.
