people don’t gossip in real life? Is this serious? It happens in every aspect of life, from all strands of society and on a wide range of issues.

this isn’t a modern phenomenon. It’s happened since the dawn of time. Even the dinosaurs gossiped man. And not just the wanker dinosaurs either

My point is that people are more likely to either make stuff up or embellish things when there is no recrimination. Gossips and rumour spreaders are extremely dangerous in my line of work.....I completely get SDs point.

Surely it’s over 50/50 if they are registered directors on company house ?
Not directors of Sunderland AFC, Sunderland Limited or Madrox (who own SAFC). They are directors of Sunderland FPP which is a holding company that will be used to buy Sunderland AFC/Sunderland Limited/Madrox.

I've sat back over the last 6 to 8 weeks watching this whole thing pan out. What's makes me laugh is watching people desperately wanting information, and those desperately wanting to give it.

The one thing I do know is never take anything written on here as FACT...

Take your point but I don’t think people gossiping about when a takeover is going to happen or their plans for the club could be considered extremely dangerous. Donald should have just simply stated ‘it’s ongoing, we’ll update in due course’

Aye mate there’s been a new corporate structure created in the US and here for the sole purchase of buying the club, but it’s all off now. Gutted tbh.

I'm aware of that. I'm also aware that due diligence could unearth some interesting/scary detail. I did say it is more likely to go through than not. But his tweets did create an element of concern for me. Sorry about that.

However, despite your sarcasm you appear to think it's a done deal so all is good.

I’m starting this simply because otherwise it’ll get lost in the maelstrom of all the other threads.

And lock this thread

What does mate?

the companies house registration. Despite people with more knowledge than I have explaining that New Castle in Del(aware) are very convenient bases for tax purposes, it all seems very convenient

paranoia and scepticism at its best

sd/ the club will have spent a fortune on legal costs too. I don’t believe it would have reached this point if either side weren‘t happy with any deal

Well the bit last night when SD said something along the lines of he’s “not sure if they want us” was perhaps the most telling.
If they haven’t yet agreed the roles of the current owners moving forward; that’s a fundamental issue to be resolved.
If SD wants to stay on in some capacity and they want him gone; then I wouldn’t blame him for standing his ground and waiting for the next investors.
His club after all.

And he'd be full of absolute shit saying he had the clubs best interests at heart if that was the case.

The club is going nowhere under him ,his intentions are good but he hasn’t got the capital to back us .Hence the sell anything that’s not screwed down policy .
This is his golden opportunity to move us on ,look good and make money .

He wants this as much as us imo

To be fair to Phil, Reiver was absolutely adamant the deal was done when it isn't. Personally, I wouldn't be coming out with that if there was even an iota of doubt about the fact.
I was told by two work colleagues (in separate conversations) who were in the next box to the Dell boys at the last match that the Dell boys said it was done.

Well let’s be clear if people are registering themselves at companies house then it must be just about done

It would surely be illegal to register incorrect details
Bingo. We often disagree but nail on head here. They couldn't have used the SoL as a registered office without Donald's permission. That would be a criminal offence, and I doubt the blue chip law firm doing the filing would do that.
