But he'd aim a tweet at a specific individual? Pretty sure his statement was intended as a sweeping generalisation of lots of people saying things that aren't true.

At no point have I claimed Reiver was posting absolute truth either. I'd like to belive it was true as it sounds like a fairytale for the club. As always with any rumour though, I'll wait for confirmation from an official source because, well, why wouldn'y you?

Yes this is absolutely key, I think, in terms of what’s going on with the takeover right now.
SD wants to stay on - it sounds like Dell want their own people in.
Given that it’s SD’s club - it may be something that can’t be resolved.
In which case SD finds investors who will keep him on...
 
It's amazing how many different interpretations have been put on Donald's tweets.

Why don't people just take a chill pill and wait for an official announcement? It won't change lives. I can guarantee that there will be lots of miserable fuckers complaining about any new owners, should they materialise. They'll still complain when we lose a game.

Does it really make any difference to know half truths and suppositions before the official announcement? As with transfers we only truly know the outcome when the club announce things.

I didn’t mean SD is misleading anyone - I meant certain posters on here posting mistruths because they’ve heard it elsewhere or have simply constructed it in their own heads.

Aye, nowt to do with both fanzines saying the deal would be done within a fortnight on the 22nd of August, the fanzines printing t shirts with SunDELLand written on them, nowt to do with the fanzines doing a podcast where they say “Michael Dell and his partners have bought the club” and definitely nowt to do with the papers and local news saying the deal is only a few days away.

It was definitely aimed at a random user of an Internet forum posting a few of the 10,000 posts on the initial thread.

I don't doubt his integrity one bit

However he did have information of which he passed on in good faith. Scoring brownie points shouldn't be a thought when posting. You either believe him or you dont
