The longer it goes on, the more likely it will happen.
Every day means more sorted, less left to do.
Agree
This is potentially in a different league to the proposals by Campbell
These are seriously rich and successful men to my mind the longer they are taking
means they are serious and better the deal in the end

Well the bit last night when SD said something along the lines of he’s “not sure if they want us” was perhaps the most telling.
If they haven’t yet agreed the roles of the current owners moving forward; that’s a fundamental issue to be resolved.
If SD wants to stay on in some capacity and they want him gone; then I wouldn’t blame him for standing his ground and waiting for the next investors.
His club after all.
He certainly would like to stay as I read an article on The Athletic just recently as saw this. I've now found the podcast it refers to and this is what he says within the first few minutes. So is Stewart selling his business a show of commitment to SAFC over the next 5/10 years that he expressed a wish about and is still trying to sort out now, along with other staffing concerns (given the rumours from various people on here)? If I was in his position I'd want to stay as I could see the potential for growth but will the 'Dell' boys want this? Who knows but in time hopefully we find out what has and is going on.

I've tried to write it down as I've heard it and Stewart was asked this about an article in the Echo "I would say the main thing that probably I would have picked out of it was, he seemed to be suggesting that you wanted to sell full control and he had to convince you to stay in the event he bought the club"

Stewart's reply was "Right, erm, well that's not true, erm, ha, the reality of the situation is, Mark Campbell is the most high profile person that's been connected with the club. Erm, but we've had 4 or 5 I think decent approaches and we've kept own council as to, if you like, the people involved in those and what we're looking for and what we're trying to do. Erm but with all of them, I've expressed a wish to stay here for minimum 5 years but hopefully 10, erm, and I expressed that wish to Mark Campbell. Now some people don't want that, erm, some people do, we can see but erm, the biggest single thing about getting investment for the football club or erm, or if somebody really wants to take it on, is is it the right thing for the football club."
The Roker report takeover podcast from a few weeks ago seems a little bit silly now 🤦‍♂️😂

if people are so dedicated to hanging onto the every word of an online poster rather than just take it as a bit of fun and games then they should probably look a bit closer to home than the person posting the info. Take what people post with a pinch of salt and just go with the flow. If it doesn’t materialise exactly as has been said then so what?

unless someone has insinuated that someone has kicked the bucket when they haven’t and there’s not even an ounce of truth in it....that warrants a pile on
I agree and as you know it's not just 1 poster on here who has said everything as it's also been a few other sources saying stuff such as that podcast and BBC radio also saying it's going to be announced on such n such a day or this is happening or it's by the end of September etc. I think this is why a select few on here are acting the way they are yet directing all this false dawn stuff towards a certain poster on here for reasons such as that's what they thrive in, they believe everything they read, they've had run ins before with him etc.

For me, I got my hopes up a little with the stuff posted on here but I wasn't going to fall far if it didn't happen. When the media or well known sources also start similar saying stuff then it becomes a little more believable and therefore the fall is longer and harder yet very little has been said about that. The problem on here is that aye I understand some people may not believe what others write but it's the way some go on about it as it was obvious to a blind man that some of it was blatant trolling.

I'm just wondering if there's any truth in the area around the ground and it's redevelopment that that is one of the hold ups? Buying the club should be fairly straightforward once due diligence is done but maybe the other stuff regarding possible land ownership, permission to develop etc would take longer? They may want to announce their takeover and their plans (if they have any?) to develop at the same time for a bigger impact? Just guessing mind and something else to mull over.

It's to do with who they want at the club, if they don't get their own way they won't want to put money into something will they, and to get any return on us they will have to get us back into the premier League and into the 7th placed cup.

Hmmmm.

"They were signing documents before and during the match at the last home game. My coworkers saw as our company has the box next door. The Yanks told them it was a done deal."

That's still one of the funniest and most ridiculous posts on this thread. Signing documents during the match!

Probably filling in their acca.

Who would that be then. Enlighten us.
:)

He's banned from here and still posting on the other forum.
How has he done a runner?
:)
Donald (like me) seems to have an issue with The Sun and Nixon. I’m right behind him on this. They’re absolute cnunts. I’d be surprised if his comments aren’t aimed there rather than a guy called Reiver on a fan’s message board
