Dogs of The SMB.

Down to two Bracco Pups now, the girl leaves us for Bermuda in just over a month and Oliver will be staying with us, so the socialisation is in full swing for both of them.

Tuesday saw a visit to the Seaburn Inn and the Stack, last night they were at Dog Club at Birtley and tonight will probably see us at Sheepfolds. Trying to get a good mix of interactions with humans and dogs.

Kirk, who we kept from the Dalmatian litter, had his first show as a Baby Puppy and took it all well. Edmond our older boy took his first Challenge Certificate at Darlington Championship show.

One of the dogs we're fostering at the moment is our longest 'temporary' resident yet.
Had her for two months now.
She went to a new 'home' last week and was back with us after 4 days!

Lovely dog she is too

Picked my son up at the airport the other day and he gave me a fabric shopping bag with some stuff in for the bairn. It had been in his suitcase with his clothes on the flight.

Came in and dropped it on the bench to give to the bairn when she came in. Charlie nonchalantly walked through the kitchen, then his nose pricked up in the air and he stood on his hind legs sniffing the bag, wagging his tail and making whimpering noises.

Amazing how sensitive their noses are.

I remember my old dog Darwin. We had gone on holiday and left him at my mam and dads. They picked us up from the airport and my dad went in first carrying one of my bags. He give it a quick sniff, then started sniffing it really intently wagging his tail like mad, “that smells of my dad”. After a bit he looked up and realised I was standing there. He froze for a split second as it dawned on him “that IS my dad”, then jumped at me going mental.

Loved that   Think you are spot on
Fred's favourite words include "tea" "ball" and "run" so I don't think I could take him to the cricket otherwise he'd be constantly in the middle begging
