We had a westie like that, since he was a pup, he loved watching the fireworks.Don't understand Charlie.
He's scared of lots of things - other dogs, strangers, bikes, pushchairs, the hoover etc.
When there's fireworks going off though, he likes to be in the back garden watching them. He's been caught before standing upright on the garden table peering over the top of the fence to get a better look at them![]()
I’m supposed to listen to her shite, that’s bad enough. Spanish bin liners may not be big enough anyway. You going to pick her shite up?![]()

Perfect for that.First time getting one mate but buzzing for it, been bang into fitness but boring the walking and running on my own can’t wait to have a little mate with me. Any advice with them greatly appreciated it too
Cocker matePerfect for that.
Is it Cocker or Sprocker marra?
It won’t be on a lead when running, I go somewhere where she’ll have free reign off the lead while I do my runI don't like to see runners with a dog on the lead with them. A dog lives by it's nose and needs to sniff!
Ok if he gets sniffing time before or after the run I suppose.
I miss my cocker so much. I would have one tomorrow but just too tying for us these days. Maybes if I ever end up on my own I will have another one, smart dogsCocker mate

Yeah I know loads who do and they also love it suppose it’s preference like but having a run partner lead or no lead is gonna be class. Last dog died and missed having oneKeep mine on the lead when I run(as I have with every dog I’ve had). Does them no harm and they’re buzzing during/afterwards.
Just get her recall sorted very early marra.Cocker mate

Had many different breeds over the years.I miss my cocker so much. I would have one tomorrow but just too tying for us these days. Maybes if I ever end up on my own I will have another one, smart dogs
Cheers for the advice marra appreciate it, Coco (not my choice) mind haha! I’ll get a picture in when she comes home! What do ya find walking wise I can go out for hours like so hoping it’s tires her out but buzzing there’s 3 of us in the gaff so she’ll have attention 24/7 would’ve felt awful if it was just meJust get her recall sorted very early marra.
Then you will just have the happiest little girl.
Off lead, Bobby can do whatever, or go wherever the fuck he wants. He is totally free to just be a Cocker Spaniel. Because I know at first call, or whistle, he is back.
Sort that, and you and her are a match made in heaven mate.
Properly looking forward to the pics as she grows up.
What's her name?
Had many different breeds over the years.
Spaniel wise, I have always had Springers, and they have been lovely. Easy to train, affectionate, well mannered.
Bobs is my first Cocker, and he has totally blown my mind on how good a dog can be.
They really are a special dog.
I'll be over 70 when he goes in another 10 years or so (if he doesn't kill himself first), and it hurts that I may not be able to give another Cocker what they would need exercise wise, so he will be my one and only one. Such a shame. I wish I had had one earlier in my life. ❤

Mate, you could walk her, run her for hours at a time. And she will look at you and think " come on then. Lets do it again, and again, and again".Cheers for the advice marra appreciate it, Coco (not my choice) mind haha! I’ll get a picture in when she comes home! Fortunately ours haven't been too bothered by them, we usually just keep the dogs with us in a room on 5/11 & divert their attention with a toy or something but you can get calming things. But fireworks noises have started already so it's a difficult one to know when some dog-startling noise will accur. Every animal reacts differently. Those of you with dogs that hate fireworks, what do you do to keep them calm.
