Does Rafa Benitez get criticism from Newcastle fans?

Doesn't every incoming manager inherit the team?

Aye, but he's got a knack of inheriting decent teams and reaping the rewards from others hard work of building a good team. He's made a reputation for himself by doing this, and your fans have lapped it up. I find that more hilarious personally.

He used to manage Liverpool and Real Madrid. For this reason and this reason only the unwashed think they are a better club than anyone else for 'snatching up' what they think is a world class manager. That's why he can do no wrong.

Left them all in a lower position than when he took them over

Chelsea too
Did he? I actually thought he did canny as they were having a mare, and he kind of unspectacularly steadied the ship. He won the uefa cup, which yet again is a cup and not league success.

He was a disgrace at Napoli and Inter!

The job for Benitez this season was promotion, didn't matter how. They'll be promoted so job done for him.

The job for Moyes this season was avoid relegation, didn't matter how. Hmmm.

They have Preston Cardiff and Barnsley. Three teams with nowt to play for.

The Mags will get promoted but the fact Brighton won the leagueand they're stuttering makes it far less of an achievement.

All out to spoil the party

That inter Milan team he took over was superb. Champions league winners and one of the best teams in Europe - enter Benitez...

Real Madrid. One of the easiest jobs in football - had them 3rd

Has he ever left a club in a stronger position than when he took over
True mate. At Napoli he spent more money than any other club in Italy during each season he was there, took them backwards and even failed to get in top 3 iirc

Worst manager in Real Madrid history

Won a cup though didn't he which covered his failings?

Aye win a little cup competition and that covers finishing 5th with a Napoli team with Higuain, Insigne, Gabbiadini, Hamsik etc and also spending more money than any other italian team in the 2 years he was there

He'll walk if they go up like. He'll know he can't do a job unless he gets £100m or so to buy a new squad

Because of the way the press went on (particularly the Chronicle) when Rafa was appointed, he won't receive much criticism. Instead you will hear:

1) Job done. Winning the title does not matter

2) Ashley should have spent in Jan.

It is actually true anarl. He will possibly walk and they will blame Ashley for only giving their world class manager another £60m

As I posted earlier mate, he will already have an exit plan. He used Newcastle and despite f***ing up the title, it will be seen as "job done".
