So a fan phones up to talk about his team and how the players, in his opinion performed that weekend. Rat Houghton doesn't like it and immediately comes out with the, how would you know you've never played the game before. Even though every man and his dog knows that the players have had a stinker. I rarely get involved in spats, life is too short, but when I feel strongly about something I will have my say.
In this case writing off over 130 years off support between me and my dad because we didn't play the game, and giving us permission to go to the match, I feel very f***ing strongly, who do you think you are?
I'm afraid on this particular thread you have the monopoly on talking shite.

Not for me no as Houghton been there seen it done it. I'm not going to tell a general how to control his army because I've played on call of duty a few times am I? Just accept that certain people know better. I have no problem with that.

At what point have I wrote it off or give you permission to do anything? All I've said is that people who have played will naturally have a better grasp than somebody who hasn't. I fail to see how that is even remotely controversial to be honest. Common sense surely.

no the whole argument stemmed from your inability to understand that football like life is becoming more about the rich and the also rans don't count, the examples i gave were for biased referees and the in club nature of the fa and there own comments such as wanting man United back at the top and Greg dyke feeling safe to blame clubs like Sunderland For England's failure to produce more talent despite clubs like chelsea and arsenal somehow not even mentioned, you then wrongly presumed that I'd be happy is safc were in man United position which was wrong from you once again.

Finally you criticised me for my rose tinted specs because i felt safc are not given a fair crack of the whip by London based media including sky and by the fa, now i think I've already given ample examples of such bias above but if you look at Darren Bent being told to leave safc and Adam Johnson never even given a friendly after being the pick of the English players in his position for 3 months.

then we can include the woman's team when the new league was formed and the arsenal team didn't want to travel up to Sunderland due to costs but i personally think it was also a tactical thing from them due to the naturally high amounts of woman who are interested in watching or playing in Sunderland, when they had the bids in place for the 8 team league they didn't even show sinderlands bid, this despite being in the top8 of the old league, then again after winning their league repeatedly they were overlooked in favour of other less successful teams who leapfrogged them into the wspl.

I'm sure you'll invent some reasons for all of the above because some people just aren't prepared to see what's in front of them

I definitely don't hate Sunderland fans, I hate people patronising me and telling me because I haven't played football I don't understand it (the fact I'm female pretty much means that I was never going to play football).
I hate people patronising my dad because despite 70 years of watching football he doesn't understand it.
I hate people patronising me by giving me permission to go and support Sunderland when I don't understand the game.

I'm a much lesser fan I accept this as lads like you go home and away whilst I get to around ten or so games a season. As I've said before though being a fan doesn't mean you know football I'm afraid.
