Do you by your kids Prime ??

I waited until all the hype died off to buy one. Got a bottle of the lemon/lime flavor and have to say I was really impressed. A much healthier option to say a lucozade sport which I usually take to football and about 60p difference in price. In comparison: Prime (left) v Lucozade sport (right)
Calories20140
Sugar2 g17.5 g
Sodium10 mg250 mg
Total Carb5 g32 g

The only issue is the carbs for me, Lucozade sport would prove to be the better choice for long running activities but generally, Prime is not a bad drink at all. It's not just all the hype people made out imo.

It's terrible for a hydration drink. Lucozade sport has sugar, as it aids with gastric emptying and accelerates the uptake of the electrolytes. However, even for a low sugar one, Prime is rubbish - It's loaded with potassium, but the composition of sweat is more sodium. They've done this so it tastes better.

It's apparently shit for hydration purposes as it doesn't replace the electrolites used up by activity, which is why it taste so different from things like Gatorade which replaces electrolites in the way you use them. For clarity, both replace the same electrolites but for example you need to take in a lot of A, some of B and a dash of C. Prime gives a lot of C and a bit of A and B.

Aye, this.

They will say it has more electrolytes than various competitors, ignoring the composition of electrolytes or mentioning why competitors compose their electrolyte profile the way they do..

Bought my 2 kids 2 bottles each. €12 for the 4 of them. I told them that was the first & last time I would ever buy it for them.

The Air Up bottles came along then. I bought them one each on my credit card, but made them pay me back. They need to start appreciating the value of money.
