Do you by your kids Prime ??

I had to give in to my 10-year-old a few weeks ago, as he was banging on about being the only one he knew never to have tried it. I found the blue, and the red, blue and white bottles in my local - 2 for £6. I made him pay for them out of his own savings.

I'd been insisting that he was wasting his money, and he must have realised I was right, as he hasn't asked for another one since.

My oldest is constantly pestering me about getting some.

She’s more chance of getting a Newcastle shirt
As I said earlier, I bought the bairn 1 bottle of the hydration but not the can and no more since. Surely there would be no harm in getting the bairn just the 1 little bottle to try ?

Nah. It’s the principle of it. Paying stupid money for utter rubbish

They collect them so yes, mind I drink the actual cans as they are energy drinks. The normal bottles are just flavoured water really

Don't have kids, but my niece, nephews and GF's younger brothers all went mad for it.

Tried a few of them, just tasted like an ice pop before it was frozen. Nowt special, they still get excited about seeing new flavours, but made a point of making them try some, but it was just normal diluted juice and they didn't know.

Aye that's it! Some of them taste like melted icepop, some of them like dilutey pop without the water added. Not great.

I waited until all the hype died off to buy one. Got a bottle of the lemon/lime flavor and have to say I was really impressed. A much healthier option to say a lucozade sport which I usually take to football and about 60p difference in price. In comparison: Prime (left) v Lucozade sport (right)
Calories20140
Sugar2 g17.5 g
Sodium10 mg250 mg
Total Carb5 g32 g

The only issue is the carbs for me, Lucozade sport would prove to be the better choice for long running activities but generally, Prime is not a bad drink at all. It's not just all the hype people made out imo.

Nope - if the bairn was dumb enough to blow her pocket money on it that's her call - but now she's done that a couple of times she's kind of accepted it was hyped and stupid.

That's the hydration, issue is the similar branded ridiculously caffeine stacked energy drink now banned by organisations ranging from schools to countries.

It's apparently shit for hydration purposes as it doesn't replace the electrolites used up by activity, which is why it taste so different from things like Gatorade which replaces electrolites in the way you use them. For clarity, both replace the same electrolites but for example you need to take in a lot of A, some of B and a dash of C. Prime gives a lot of C and a bit of A and B.
