Walking the strip seems fine until you've been walking for 20 minutes and the place you're going still seems exactly as far away as it was when you started. Very deceptive due to the size of things

It’s not really a money pit. You can make it expensive or reasonable. Just gotta time bookings and the likes. Our flights and hotel for just over a fortnight often come in cheaper than a week in Tenerife.Still mint tho. Love it me.

What always blows my mind is when we speak to some Americans. The prices they pay for 5 days or a weeks is insane.Oh aye, totally, we always get cracking deals - catch it right with BA and we tend to go for around 500p, then a car and Disney tickets. For food we tend not to book anything in Disney, we've done it and now just prefer to go out and about to break the day up.
You can spend a fortune there, so the money pit can be true, but you can absolutely do it without going mental. 100%
Have to ask, how was it $800 ph?What always blows my mind is when we speak to some Americans. The prices they pay for 5 days or a weeks is insane.
My youngest was playing with a girl at Epcot and the mam was composing at the fact she’s paying $800 an hour and they can’t supply her with an umbrella to shade her.
Ours recently hasn’t came in more than £2500 for the 4 of us then passes on top. Spends seem to get less each year as we’ve done more things don’t need to repeat. Think that’s why next time looking at better hotel amenities (ie drury with its breakfasts and buses) or a villa.
They were on a vip tour. Second day of it as well. Had the cast members in plaid uniform with them. She was sound and her kids swapped stuff with mine but I found it mental.Have to ask, how was it $800 ph?
Drury has breakfast, busses AND afternoon tea / early dinner with drinks (inc alcoholic) - and no resort fees (I think there's a car park charge though).
AH, those tours are really expensive. They do look really cool though. They were on a vip tour. Second day of it as well. Had the cast members in plaid uniform with them. She was sound and her kids swapped stuff with mine but I found it mental.
We’ve the drury canny high up on our choice list like. Mainly for all you mention as it’s about 15 minutes closer to springs than where we usually stay.
Not been in a Wyndham in Orlando for years. Always used to stay in the massive one on I drive near McDonald’s but every year it seemed to get smaller. I’ve a feeling it’s gone now, was that bug you needed golf carts to collect you to take you to reception.AH, those tours are really expensive. They do look really cool though.
If you want to be even closer, the Wyndham is literally on the side of the walkway overpass into Disney Springs. We've stayed their a number of times too, but not in the last 3 years so worth checking if anything has changed - for some reason "the buses" is pinging in my head as something that might have done.
The one right next to Springs is canny. They upgraded the tower and that's nice. The old motel style rooms at the side are more basic - they've even set it up as 2 separate hotels now, the motel under the "Wyndham Gardens" brand or something like that. Not been in a Wyndham in Orlando for years. Aye I’ve seen the one on the springs. We had to help a hysteric woman back there other year from springs. She was going her ends screaming was lost. So calmed her down and got her over bridge to hotel. The one right next to Springs is canny. They upgraded the tower and that's nice. Its not all that big though, so you're probably thinking of one of the other ones.
Our first time was McCoy Road, just off Sand Lake iirc. Bloody miles outAye I’ve seen the one on the springs. We had to help a hysteric woman back there other year from springs. She was going her ends screaming was lost. So calmed her down and got her over bridge to hotel.
The one we used to stay in was on sand lake rd/international drive/universal blvd. Was the whole corner pretty much and the world’s biggest McDonald’s was on other side of crossroads. Must’ve stayed there 6 times before we moved to Rosen inn at point Orlando for a few years. I would love to stay back in I drive area but feel with the kids it’s better to be LBV.
I’m not a HP fan, just thought the whole staging was incredible. TT jnr was filling us in on the fantastic beasts stuff and the story of the ride, but it was still class. What did you find incredible about Harry Potter at Epic, since it’s not really Harry Potter at all but a recreation of 1920s Paris for Fantastic Beasts? Thowt that was really boring me, as did my bairn who much preferred actual Harry Potter in Universal.
I think our lass fell for the hype - which wouldn’t exactly be a first for herI’m not a HP fan, just thought the whole staging was incredible. TT jnr was filling us in on the fantastic beasts stuff and the story of the ride, but it was still class.
Hold my beerFunny, I'd say it's impossible to get drunk at Epcot, you're always moving. But the bar is a set a bit lower for the yanks eh?![]()
Hold it? Why? Gerrit drunk man!Hold my beer
It’s the cocktails that get me.Hold my beer
