Disney world Florida

Aye ours is the same age.

There’s a party thing in one of the quick dine restaurants round from Tomorrowland. Had a few characters in there for the kids to dance with as well.
Attraction tickets have 14% off the Magic Kingdom party tickets but they don't give prices until next week.

Seaworld have a good halloween event at no extra cost for little kids as well and we already have tickets so might just do that.

Not sure about having to haul all that candy from Magic Kingdom as people seem to get a suitcases worth. 🤣

Taking the bairn to Epic Universe today.
Absolutely nee idea what this is all about. Anyone been? What’s good?
I’ll be wearing white Umbro retro third kit if anyone’s around there.
Was wearing the blue Umbro retro away kit yesterday. Two separate yanks spotted it and came over to wish us well in the final and talked about THAT goal!😁
OK so for anyone who’s interested regarding Epic Universe …

For full disclosure I’m really not into the parks and was quite proud of the fact that I’d lived 90 minutes from the place for several years without setting foot anywhere near until the bairn got to an age when the inevitable happened and now the missus has season passes to some places - Disney and Universal I think plus Busch Gardens round ours.

Anyway this gave us access to see Epic Universe before it’s officially open. It was strange to be walking round a place that’s so sparsely populated but come the end of May when the schools are out and it’s officially open it will likely be pandemonium.

The place is set up with a giant lake / fountain in the middle a bit like Epcot and there are four main ‘portals’ ?gateways) around the lake which go to different areas making it easy to navigate around. Going clockwise at 9 o clock is Nintendo World with super Mario stuff all over, then dark world at 11 o clock which we skipped due to time. There’s a wass hotel at the 12 o clock spot which we were told was very expensive. We thought there was a Harry Potter area and there are guests roaming around in Hogwarts tackle but it’s really set up as 1920’s Paris and it’s not HP (which is in universal) it’s Fantastic Beasts at 2 o clock. Then at 4 o clock is the How To Train Your Dragon area. Each area seems to have at least two major rides / rollercoasters. Right in the middle is a large restaurant named Atlantic which overlooks the central lake. I don’t mind the heat but by late afternoon the bewer and bairn were exhausted as there’s not a lot of shade as you stroll around.

Hope that was useful for anyone coming over.

We’re going to Animal Kingdom this morning before driving home. The missus has wanted to do the Avatar ride there for ages so it better live up to her expectations.

Safe travels to anyone coming over.

The screen is blurred now which makes the wait times even more frustrating
Our lass looked on her phone. It’s 9:00 am. We haven’t left the hotel yet and she reckons it’s already 85 minute wait time. I’m not waiting that long so we may skip it again.

Backs packed. Few hours down springs then airport it is. Another year flew over.
Did you get fined last year in the end?

I had fast passes and although it's decent, I wouldn't queue that long.

No fine or owt last year. See if I’ve owt when home this year. It’s nothing in scheme of savings like. It’s only 12 habanero pineapple margaritas at springs 😂

Aye. It's well worth the savings on holiday cost.

I got fined about £400 maybe, can't remember exactly.

I do recommend uber one for people. It’s like $10 for 30 days but you get cash back on a taxis, no delivery fees on food, priority rides so less waiting about. Saved $80 this year using it.

Last year saved about the same.

In the UK you get 10% back on train fares as well

I have it in the UK. It's like £20 a year.

It's a decent ride, but massively over hyped imo.
Not at all.

My kids haven't even seen the film, but they all came off saying it was the best ride they'd ever been on.
Ever.

It's brilliant.

How is the screen blurred?
We didn't notice anything like that.

Had to give it a swerve.
I can take it or leave it when it comes to the parks and my missus is not a massive fan but for some reason she has a jones for doing this ride. By the time we got out of the hotel and made it there the wait time was 90 minutes and no way to get a fast lane pass or whatever they’re called. None of us fancied waiting in the heat for 90 minutes and doing so may have made it late for us to get home and pick up the hound from the doggie hotel so we had to give it a pass. Might make it back in a couple of months and be more organised about the timing but the gadgie said the avatar ride starts out with a wait time of an hour as soon as the park opens!

Which is something I don’t get about these places. You pay a fortune to get in and unless you want to pay a bigger fortune for fast passes you spend half the day waiting in queues!

This is a new thing.

I thought it was ok but I guess I was expecting too much. The Rise of the Resistance was loads better.
