Quite a few kids around us and worryingly the worst perpetrators of the really disgusting language all seemed to have children with them.

C word, puff, *******, retard, f***ing southern bastards, inbreds...what a lovely bunch we had around us today.

No question in my mind it’s got worse over the last 5 or 6 years. A big factor in giving up my ST but today was a real eye opener having been away from it.

I’m sure at least 50% of safc supporters are decent, well brought respectful people but honestly, so many animals associated to the club these days, not for me any longer .Good luck.

How long has this muppet being going to matches?

On occasions you hear things that make you cringe if you feel strongly about report it to the police of the stewards.

To then come on here and post about it when he did sod all at the match sums him up.

Must have been around a right bunch of miserable sods, as i was east stand U8 near south stand and atmosphere around supporters was far from negative
 
Second game of the season !!!! Just stay at home mate you won't be missed .If you are offended by bad language our local WI meets first Monday of the month

The OP is clearly a complete fanny however it’s amusing to read people being all affronted at what he saw and heard.

Do people really think our fans are all paragons of virtue simply because they wear red and white?

The woe is me it’s always those nasty opppsition fans is wearing a bit thin now.

Some of my old mans comments at the match when he took me over when I was 6 would make some of these wailing minges toes curl ;)

That's football. Most people at least are so passionate that it brings out aggression. That's just tribal warefare. I think it's the aggression that defines English football, and I'm proud of it,(definitely not racist or homophobic language..that's a different argument) it's simply passion that you have for your team and aggression to the opposition especially with their scummy behaviour.

My question to you is what do you want/expect the matches to be like? to me it's seems you want us to behave like the us 'soccer' fans...all friendly and polite and no swearing..

I couldn’t give a fuck about people hoying the verbals about, it’s football and is going to happen.

What I will say is though when the fans who are dishing it out get some back off the players don’t behave like utter fannies and become all indignant.

Also do you seriously think out of over 30-40k fans we don’t have a percentage of cretins like every other club will?

Pretty sure we finished 3rd in the number of arrests made and games last season.

Maybe you notice this a lot more when you don’t go very often but the anger and bile that comes from these people - predominantly young men - is incredible. You have to wonder what’s happened to them to make them so angry because a footballer going down injured, a misplaced pass or a referees decision surely could not stir up such hatred. Maybe it’s just a release of their general anger and personal circumstance. Who knows?
