As I mentioned here not long ago, I have a disklok, ghost immobiliser, tracker, dummy OBD port and gap insurance.
My car got stolen getting on for three years ago now, so I had all the above done to my new one. Unfortunately, even with the disklok someone tried to break in - they spent half an hour trying to get in but didn't manage it.
The disklok is definitely a deterrent and gives some peace of mind, but it's not a guarantee it won't be targeted or stolen. One of the main reasons cars get stolen these days is the ease in which it can be done - with keyless entry cars the thieves can be in and away within a minute. With a disklok you're adding a few minutes and having to use tools like an angle grinder.
