Brown wouldn't walk, or limp in his case, into the team. O'Shea would though. I'd much rather take a gamble on a creative French international than Gardner who, like Nolan, brings nothing to the game bar getting the odd goal. Westwood > Harper, yes, but we've two very promising keepers who I'd not bring Westwood in above tbh.

You've strengthened the squad depth but you've got a weaker XI now than you did at the start of last season and a weaker XI than us IMO.



I'm not saying you personally did but that was the original topic of the thread. Xisco, aye, awful. Ranger, I don't rate him, but I imagine he's on peanuts. I'd loan him out this season though to see what he can do instead of just getting rid all together. Simpson's a capable RB imo, I've no problem with him for the time being.

Everything depends on who you keep and who you let go this summer. I'd kill to have a left back like Enrique. We've been crying out for one years. I genuinely hoped we'd nick him off you when you went down and there were rumours but it never happened.

Other than that, both sides are much of a muchness with a number of players in each with plenty to prove. Personally, I'd take the PL experience over unknown quantities from abroad. I'm also pleased with our squad depth, whereas I think your squad is very shallow. Take out any of the first XI and you're thin on the ground.

Brown is better than any defender you have. Ditto O'Shea. Brown is 36th in the list of appearances for Man U, O'Shea 29th. Aye, part-timers the pair of them. :roll:

How can you big-up the potential of your french imports yet dismiss the potential of Wickham (earlier posts) who already has more experience of english football than your frogs?

Gardner - 11 'odd' goals.

Vaughan - Blackpools player of the season, above Adam, who has just gone to Liverpool for £7m

Westwood - experienced international. How many caps have Forster/Krul/Harper between them?
