Of all the signings, the only one who'd command a place in our starting XI is the one you've not officially signed yet, O'Shea. Other than that, Wickham looks like he's got fantastic potential, but you need a proven goalscorer now and he's not that man. Good signing, bad time.

I'm honestly struggling to see what I should be jealous about? :confused:

You seem to care a lot about what mags think, it's seemingly one of your first thoughts which I find very odd. When we signed Cabaye and Ba my first thought weren't "ahh I bet the mackems are gutted." Cannot get my head round it at all. You're a strange bunch.

Brown would walk into either Williamson's or Simpson's place in the team. Gardner or Cabaye? I'll take the PL experience and 11 goals last season. Westwood over Harper any day for me as well.

A number of our signings thus far are squad players for us too anyway.

I expect to see further outgoings from your lot yet anyway. Suddenly the likes of Larsson would look a very attractive proposition.

Oddly a number of mags I know did think that.

I couldn't give a toss what you think. I became embroiled in this thread for other reasons and don't remember calling you jealous at all.

As for Brown being a shocking deal, I beg to differ. Danny Simpson is a player I'd describe as shocking, or Nile Ranger, or Xisco. 5-6 year contracts for them 3 :eek::lol:

Brown wouldn't walk, or limp in his case, into the team. O'Shea would though. I'd much rather take a gamble on a creative French international than Gardner who, like Nolan, brings nothing to the game bar getting the odd goal. Westwood > Harper, yes, but we've two very promising keepers who I'd not bring Westwood in above tbh.

You've strengthened the squad depth but you've got a weaker XI now than you did at the start of last season and a weaker XI than us IMO.

I'm not saying you personally did but that was the original topic of the thread. Xisco, aye, awful. Ranger, I don't rate him, but I imagine he's on peanuts. I'd loan him out this season though to see what he can do instead of just getting rid all together. Simpson's a capable RB imo, I've no problem with him for the time being.
