Diarra

Dropping him might of gave him the kick up the arse he needed. Was playing like he could do what he wanted becuase he cost 30m half the time.

There's a player there and hopefully we see that next season. Some players take a year to just get upto moving country / get up to pace with the league etc.
His best game off the bench yet.. Well done bonny lad.

When you see the videos at the AoL always seems very shy and anxious. Played well today and a good player in there. Got pelters for it before but some players just don’t suit Le Bris style Adingra for me was a better player than Angulo

Very good today. His decision making can leave a lot to be desired at times but he makes the sort of runs and movement in the final third that nobody else in our midfield is capable of making.

I agree the 3rd doesn’t happen without him but Haway, it was a nothing ball to the defender who decided to leave it
Jesus Christ how much do you hate him? It was a fantastic ball into the channel expecting one of the lads in the box to gamble on it. Very tough to defend against that kind of ball. He had a great appearance, as much as his haters like yourself don't like that. Was a key part of the 2 late goals and could have had us another couple too
He should be starting games in the exact role he’s trying to play Hume.
Tend to agree. With a very fluid system, Enzo drifting wide, Gerty inside, Diarra close to the front man at times. Would be incredibly hard to man mark that kind of system if we do it right

He put the ball into the middle
Yes and then moved into the middle again and supplied a second short ball to Le Fee to score
Dont get me wrong I am delighted for both but Rigg did all the hard work for that second goal and was prominent for the 3rd, however Diarra deserves kudos for final assist
Doesn't happen without Diarra
Doesnt happen without Rigg
As I said above, I am not denigrating etc Diarra
I was/am delighted to see him back in the fold, but for me the main man ( other than scorer ) in second goal was rigg
Just watched YouTube highlights several times and while Diarra was part of the second goal, it was initiated by Rigg ( after a surging run up right side) released Diarra. Diarra crossed and ball reached Isidor who passed ball back to Rigg who slid final pass to ElF
The assist and what happened just prior were almost entirely attributable to Rigg
Diarra gets the glory for 3rd goal, again combining (just prior to his cross) with Rigg
Maybe it is these 2 that could be integral in à ‘creativity reset’ going forward

Thanks! Can’t claim credit though.

Had an impact yesterday for sure.

I don’t think he’s ever been great or even good for us, but I don’t think he’s been bad either despite some bad moments that have defined him. My biggest gripe with him was his effect on enzo.

Same with Hume. It’s not that they’re abysmal or costing us points, they’re just keeping better players out of position or out of the team altogether.

I think his performance yesterday perfectly sums him up. Got all the ability and a great athlete but his decision making at the moment is miles off it. Seems like he has no middle ground as a player, either does something class or something massively frustrating
