Diarra

Looks a bit raw but he doesn’t half cover the ground. Needs to develop an understanding with Muki, Hume, Riggy or whoever else is on that side. The left side looks a lot more ‘connected’ as the gaffer would say.

At times I saw a bit play and thought it was Sadiki just doing his clever ball retention thing and then realised it was actually Diarra. Nice compliment because Sadiki was superb today.
 
The kid moved to a new country with very little grasp of the language to begin with, then got a serious injury. Was always going to take a while.
 
It's almost as if a young player needs time and patience to get up to speed as a first-term regular in the most physical and technical league in world football...

Could see him doing what Jobe did, getting stretched and stress tested in Year 1, rested over the summer and came back a different beast.
 
He was very good today and often finds himself in great positions and loads of space. He's going to be a big player for us next season.
 
I thought he was decent without the ball first half but not involved with it enough. That was completely different second half where he was looking for it all of the time.
 
He’s starting to get around the pitch a lot more. Had a decent game, couple of poor passes when we were in good positions and his touch can be heavy. Feel like he’s playing himself into a bit of form though.
 
It's almost as if he's adjusting and been injured as well.

Mind I thought he looked the best midfielder at the start of the season as well so pleased to see him showing it again now.
 
Certainly had a better game. Defended well more than he did in an attacking sense. Terrible decision in that 3 on 2 though and even worse execution of the pass.

What happened with that ball into the box? Seemed certain to score but didn’t even seem to swing a leg. Looked bad from where I was sat but might have been misleading.
