DFS Delivery times

Ordered our couch for our new house at the beginning of July, logged on to see how the order was getting on and now they’ve updated it and said they are expecting it at their distribution centre at the beginning of December! Madness.

been looking on Twitter and loads kicking off.

I was given 10 weeks. Took 12.

They always quote ages for delivery.
Would think they'd keep stock in a warehouse here instead of shipping from China or wherever on demand.

Last one I got from that place next to Harkers was made to measure locally and delivered in within a week or two.

DFS are shite anyway, you should have found yourself an independent sofa / furniture maker and bought something off them.

DFS / SCS / Furniture Village et all just sell mass produced shite at massively inflated prices in relation to quality, whereas an independent will very likely build all of their own stuff and will rely heavily on feedback / word of mouth for business so won't mess about with tatt. And they'll have likely been able to sort you out in next to no time.

Can you recommend an independent sofa manufacturer in the NE?
