The administrators seem keen to point out that there are bids in and they are bigger than Ashleys. Just when you think it cant get anyomore complicated its just gone up a level tonight, it's truly lost me now. What's deemed acceptable is irrelevant tbh.
Anything is worth what the market is prepared to pay.
It has to be said there isn't a huge bidding war going on.
Yes we have similar accounts on hereThere are a couple of bids in much higher than Ashleys by all accounts, he seems to be trying to get in by the back door.
Messy businessWe’ve all tried that
I probably just don't get it like, but if there are better deals why don't they take them? There are a couple of bids in much higher than Ashleys by all accounts, he seems to be trying to get in by the back door.
Because they're not actually better deals most likely.I probably just don't get it like, but if there are better deals why don't they take them?
I really dont know.I probably just don't get it like, but if there are better deals why don't they take them?
Unfortunately I think you might be rightHoping Ashley's ego thinks he can buy a club for next to nowt and turn it into a big club again, preferably back to the top league, we're fucked if not.
Problem is he wont pay the Administrators £5 million+, he wont pay the main creditors anything like the amount that will save us getting another 15 point deduction and he wont want to be paying Mel Morris for renting his stadium. A lot to be ironed out in two weeks. I cant see a way out of this tbh. Feel gutted tonight, first time it's really hit me.
they are taking them..I probably just don't get it like, but if there are better deals why don't they take them?
the owner did fund derby where required..the problem arose when the league ordered him to stop funding them as it was breaking league rulesNothing less than outright shambles. The DM article has a section 'what went wrong' which starts from last month. I think it's fair to say is should start several years ago.
Independent regulator and annual 'stress tests' required with enough capital to survive in the event - most likely relegation - with commitment from the owner to fund where required.
It's not that hard to do, just needs authorities to face up to reality and for the PL to take some responsibility; it's when clubs are not in the PL that the issues arise.
Then I'm wondering what's the issue with Ashley lowballing them? If he's at the back of the queue it's good there's a queue.they are taking them..
I suppose the risk is that there'll be groups who are tyre kickers or chancers. Hopefully they don't waste any time on them, but if they're offering more money (which they may or may not have) then there's always a chance. In some ways it would probably be better if there was just one serious bidder! Hope they get sortedI know it looks messy and complicated at the moment but surely the fact that there seems to be a few interested parties must give the fans hope that they won't go under?
he may be gamling that the other bidders ahead of him dont sactually have the money they claim to..Then I'm wondering what's the issue with Ashley lowballing them? If he's at the back of the queue it's good there's a queue.
I know it looks messy and complicated at the moment but surely the fact that there seems to be a few interested parties must give the fans hope that they won't go under?
If this is all genuinely a revenge plot by Mel Morris to make the sure MA doesn’t takeover then it’s so sad.Because they're not actually better deals most likely.
one is a guy called appleby who is a former owner of derby..im not sayin he is any good or not,but he is a known figure to the fans and community etcDepends on who those interested parties are.
I appreciate beggars can't be choosers - Sorry, Derby - but at the same time you don't want to see them jump out of the frying pan into the fire.
Two clichés in one sentence!
