Derby County deal expected to collapse

They're out the league I think?

Unless EFL have enough confidence it will be sorted before season starts. Which they currently haven't.
Caught the back end of sky and it said something about needing it sorting before then fixtures are out but didnt hear what would happen

hopefully gets sorted but certainly dont look good

Again, feel for the fans. We've had a few shit years before promotion but we've never been staring our actual existence right in the face. Hopefully its bought by someone legitimate.

Mike Ashley wants it but he not pay the 7 million quid in fee's that's what the administrator's wants

CK has proven he's got the funds twice to the EFL now. I'm starting to think the Quantam or whatever they're called aren't being as truthful as they should be hence why the EFL have now changed the terms of the Notice of Withdrawal deal that they now have to be involved across the whole thing. It is now a case of the integrity of the EFL being protected (a laugh given the amount of no marks and chancers they've passed through the O&D test) as with fixtures being released next week and Derby only having 5 contracted players, it's not a fair standing start.

It's likely Ashley will now come in exactly as he did with the Mags with if any or very little due diligence done.

I really feel for Derby fans.

Its harsh on the fans but I cant see why any sane business person would want to 'buy' Derby, they do not look value for money at all, they have 5 players and very little assets yet they will cost around £30m and are in league 1, surely you could buy a Championship club for around that and not start on the back foot. If it was a fans group then I could see the reasoning but even Ashley must be questioning if its really worth it.

Hoping Ashley's ego thinks he can buy a club for next to nowt and turn it into a big club again, preferably back to the top league, we're fucked if not.

Problem is he wont pay the Administrators £5 million+, he wont pay the main creditors anything like the amount that will save us getting another 15 point deduction and he wont want to be paying Mel Morris for renting his stadium. A lot to be ironed out in two weeks. I cant see a way out of this tbh. Feel gutted tonight, first time it's really hit me.

The closer it gets to the season starting the less reason I can see anyone agreeing to the 35% or 25% to none football debtors to stop the 15 point deduction, our time down here shown how had that league is to get out of, with only 5 contracted players it might be a better long term hit to just take the point deduction and save some money.

Has the HMRC debt been lowered or is it still at £20m and no chance of it being lowered?

I hope his ego does blind him or the other party who have been trying to get in touch with quantuma and soon, how it's become this much of a mess is beyond me though.

His spokesperson has said all along that Ashley wants this project for fun! he wants to come in to nothing and build something. Not sure i believe it but it would be some achievement if he did. All debts have gone up not down. Owe more tax and more to the Dell bloke who lent us more money only last week i think.
Jesus Christ, sounds bad.
Great for the kids who were forced into the limelight and took their chance. One to Man City, One to Liverpool, Two to Man Utd, One to Chelsea, One to Palace, One to Italy, One to Switzerland...all for a combined fee of about £1.5 million. The couple of lads left are with the club out of loyalty by all accounts Knight & Bird but they wont stick around for ever, Cashin has just come through and looks good and a lad whos only played a handful of games is wanted by Man Utd & Spurs. Thats the real loss, not people like Lawrence

The £300m in his pockets from the Saudis must be burning a hole, maybe he's thinking invest in a sleeping giant and try and flip once they are back in the Premier League or just try and make you lot self funding with free advertising for his business, either way it must be better than current situation.

Was it Dell who paid the wages last month or is that still unknown?

Step forward Don Amott... king of the caravans ! If only he had the money needed.

Absolutely shocking what’s gone on with DCFC. Really feel for everyone who supports Derby.

We arent the biggest club but its a huge catchment area. Chesterfield always feels more like South Yorkshire, apart from them its just Derby for the County. There is plenty of potential for Ashley to build the club. The Dell bloke is just a high interest loan shark, you did well to avoid them. Still a mystery who paid the wages last month but someone did. Fans are hoping it was Rooney but fearing its Mel Morris who is somehow the Bond villain behind the scenes pulling the strings and will come out of this still somehow controlling the club

Its a f***ing mess

You need the takeover to happen and then some of the kids to get some big money transfers to get the sell on fee and invest it into the team / club. Be interesting to see if that’s something that attracts interest from a futures buyer. Think Delap has a decent percentage of city ever sell him.
