How many goes at IVF did you have mate and where did you go to ?
We were very very very lucky. First time was icsi and amazingly a little girl arrives. Second icsi failed. Then a failed ivf. Then a successful one and twins. What I would say is that you may be different to me but from start to finish (from diagnosis of a 'problem' to the twins arrival took its toll. Be strong and be prepared to be strong. We were at the centre for life. Honestly they had their good and bad points there. So I have a 5 yr old daughter who is the most beautiful little girl and 15 month old twin girls who are chalk and cheese ! . Where are you going?

Administrative functions at centre for life had similar issues. They tended to 'forget' things, appointments and the like. Mr brother and missus were at James cook. They have twins after a failed attempt. There's a lot of complicated emotions involved mate....longing, impatience, frustration, fear. All I can say is try and recognise them. Being a bloke I tended to ignore them. Pm me if needed as everyone who goes through it has a story to tell and advice. And hope

Thanks for this mate, helps when others have gone through it, i find it more frustrating with the distance, 120 odd mile round trip !

You're on.

Already had 4 bottles of Stella Cidre in the club at lunchtime and am now one quarter of the way through 1 litre of Smirnoff (with diet Coke).

Reason? First time I have been relatively stress-free for 6 months. I have the house to myself, wife's in Carlisle with the in-laws, my mother who who we are caring for, is at my brother's. I have the barbie heating and a large steak ready to hoy on. Chip fryer is on standby, as are the NHS.

Ready, steady, GO!

Wooden Shjips stoner music on, number one dog looking at me disapprovingly, all's great so far.

Not left the house all week other than work. Going to drink now. A lot

Why are you drinking? Not judging, just curious. I'm having my last night of loving wine tonight as I start new scary meds on Monday so I need to be good. Which will be fine if they do their job & help me so I can actually sleep & shut up my racing mind...

If you want to pm I'm here :)

Also if everyone can keep their fingers crossed for me while I battle through the initial side effects I'd appreciate the support.

Good luck with the new meds - hope they do the job for ya. I've been battling this bastard for 20 years so I know what a slog it can be. Fingers and toes crossed.

what breed is your dag ?

Meant to be a Shih-Tzu but I'm sure there's some Lhasa Apso in him. He's big for a Shih-Tzu. Aggressive protective possessive companion. :)

He hasn't long left I'm afraid as his faculties are failing. He's nearly 14 years old. It's going to break my heart.

Edit: As you can tell, the drink's making me a tad emotional.

BBQ has been abandoned as the wind has blarn the fecker oot. I'll be relying on my trusty lump of spanish cast iron in the form of a griddle on the gas.

Best of luck I've had a much better week

shit week, it took me all my mental energy to drag myself into work, I just wanted to stay in bed with the curtains closed (but I couldn't as the bairn was on half term and I wouldn't have gotten paid). My eating has gone off the rails again, need to pick myself up and dust myself off tbh
