Certainly looked that way. Would be a big shame for both him and the club. He has been there all through our journey from the depths. Equally we have him the chance. He looks premiership level so I'd like it if he signed a new contract but if he leaves he'll go with goodwill from the fans.

We need to get him out on loan for the rest of this season, and get a good look at him. He needs a run of games.

I agree but if we had to keep him or Cirkin I’d go for Cirkin. His peak potential might be a bit lower than Alese but he’s much more likely to reach it and it’d still be a very good level.

25 and hes played 40 league games here since July 2022.

He'd then have to step up to the PL.

Its getting almost Huggins like the way people rate him (i mean hes better than Huggins ever was, but still massively overrated) based on a few flashes here and there and our good start last season.

He needs to get fit and then find a new club.

He has already shown he is capable in this league….

I'd keep him.

At his age he'd need a long term deal, which we might not need but would give us leverage over a fee in the next couple of years.

Your forgetting that Alese is homegrown and we need 8 over the age of 21 in our squad. I'd be surprised if he leaves.

We've currently have Ballard, Mundle, 09, Moore, Alese, Cirkin, Neil and Patterson

The last 3 could all easily leave due to their contract situation and lack of playing time. So they'd need replaced.

Mundle was linked with wanting away too. Costly to replace them with players that are capable at the level we'd need.

I suppose we've gone the season so far utilising Dan Neil in the same way so if we done the same with Alese it wouldn't matter if he was fit or not.
