Dennis Cirkin

I very rarely even notice things like this but today i did and he was jus stood looking towards south stand when wise men say broke out at the end. To me he was just in the moment admiring it and i'd like to think it was the moment he realised he needs to renew, rather than a goodbye.

Aye I’m hoping this was a “I remember this stand when we were in league one doing the same chant and being hopeful we could return it to the prem. now here we are, and I’ve just played in a match where we beat a mid tables prem team and half way through the season we are already safe”

Or something to that effect.

It could also be the aniversary of his old man’s death, and he could have been thinking “I wish he could see me now and what I’ve achieved”

It’s total guesswork from everyone. My guess is that the club want him to stay, and we’ve had informal contract offers based on him returning to full fitness, which is why he’s being treated differently to Dan Neil who has seemingly decided that he’s off.

But let’s be honest though, none of us know anything at all.

I really hope he stays. I think there’s plenty to learn from Reinildo and whilst he is terminator like in his robustness he’ll be more likely to pick up injuries or need a rest as he gets older. Cirkin could naturally ease in to first choice.
That said he’s contributed hugely to our rise and has earned the right to make his own decisions and benefit from going on a free if he so chooses, he’ll still have been an absolute bargain and an asset.
It’s weird being so sad to see players go, haven’t really had many over the last few years to be upset about before last summer.

I wasnt concerned to see Cirkin coming on yesterday. He could yet develop to be the Hume of the left side , dropping inside to midfield , supporting the full back to close games out , acting as a stronger physical winger. Hes a decent footballer all round .
Only problem might be his happiness doing that , hes a bit 'thinky' , but if anyone can make him feel valued its Regis.

If Dennis and the rest of the lads consider that any game, no matter how big or small, is a team game i really, really hope he buys into it and signs that contract. Yes some aregoing to deserve bigger wages and yes, some want to play every game. Those days of everyone getting the same should hit home because of the success were having right now..

Said it before and will say it again, the grass is not always greener on the other side. Just ask Clarkie and so many who went before him

Been a great servant for us. But with Alese or Hume as back up we won't be desperate to tie him up with a longer contract. Think he would be happy with a move back down south where he seems to be close to his mam.

If he stays he'll get game time. We'll have to manage Reinildo's minutes in the longer-term. He's 32 years old and plays a position that requires a lot of running.

Tbh I thought that whilst Reinildo played very well, he looked a bit leggy and slow yesterday. I think regular games + AFCON maybe caught up with him? He just looked a bit slower.

Coming back from a knock isnt he ?
But i agree you dont get better week on week at 32

Hume plays most games and alese has been injured more than he's been fit.

Get away in shite man. People post absolute nonsense. Reinildo didn’t look anything like slow and leggy yesterday😂

Alese?

You have got to be kidding?

Decent player but needs moving on. If Cirkin goes we need to dip into the market as Alese is not robust enough.

Here we go, the infallible opinion police have entered the chat. He looked a bit leggy and slower than usual, to me. Perhaps my eyes deceived me.

I also said he played really well, so I don't quite know why you've got yourself upset.
