Potential to be a great player in this division if his heads right .

Will the club stick with him and hope he grows as a player and a person or will they look to off load ?

To me he’s a very gifted player and at one point I thought he was the best english left back in the country at one point last season . However I think he falls into the Patto bracket.

I'm off out tonight mate...please can you drop me a dm as to where I can get the gear from you had last night.

Technically good. Adds a lot in the final third. But his lack of pace and positional awareness would get brutally exposed.

We have a lot of options now for left back

Reinildo
Masuaka
Cirkin
Hjedle
Alese

Tbh I’d be more focused on what we do with the two below him first.

Then the big question is - is he Cirkin better than Masuaka? I personally have no idea but would love to see Cirkin given the chance to succeed at this level as I feel he can.

Sadly, there’s no room for sentimentality.
The players we’ve signed are a considerable step up in quality from the lads who got us promoted.

If our ambition is to avoid relegation by some distance (which it looks like it is) the vast majority of the lads from last season are going to get very little game time and will only be selected if we encounter multiple injuries.
I'm sure they'll get plenty of game time in the cups and when AFCON is taking place, not to mention injuries or suspensions. RLB has made it clear though that the the team will rotate, so to me these lads are just as important as they'll have big parts to play yet. Being able to at least hold the fort during crunch times is what we need to survive.

They deserve better than the crap they're getting on here. The club seem to be dealing with them correctly
It's awful isn't it? Yet, the same posters who are being disrespectful towards the likes of Cirkin and Neil and claiming they aren't good enough, will be the exact same posters who will be slagging off our shiny new players the moment we lose a game.

Cirkin is a good attacking full back, his defending sometimes lets him down. In tge early part of last season he was brilliant. Injuries and the emotional struggles he has been dealing with have compromised his effectiveness. He played a big part in our progress and a fully fit Dennis Cirkin is definitely the right standard. I really hope he signs a new contract and expect him to get chances to show how good he is.

Has a lot of attributes to be a good player, his pace and ability to carry the ball forward is very good. I always think he looks clumsy though and passes wayward or falls over at times.

I don’t think it has helped his development with ongoing injuries. He needs a couple of consistent years injury free, not sure if that is with us or someone else 🤷‍♂️

Problem with Cirkin and Alese more so is are they going to be fit when a window presents itself.

When he’s carrying the ball I know what you mean. I often think he looks like he’s about to fall over. It’s just his running style when he’s carrying the ball. I do hope the lad stays. We have cover if he doesn’t.
