Striker
Adebayor? Would fit perfectly into our present system.
Probably would for 3 weeks before he did a strop. He's also one of Spurs highest ever earners and reputedly on more than £100k a week.

Of course mate. Wasn't wanting an argument, just replying to your opinion. A difference of 30k a week, getting shot of altidore and replacing him with Defoe, just can't be a bad thing.Aye, also makes people think dishing out big fees on big names is class. It works both ways.
I'm no financial expert, just giving my views. You're entitled to yours.
I liked it where he kept calling the OP a loser.This. The ole little man syndrome all over. Proper radged.
Nice edit
He came from Toronto, to join In 4 in a row, Defoe woahhhh.
FoamingI want us to do well.
We're in the Premier League, we should be spending money.
I'm happy to give Defoe a chance, but it's hardly a King's ransom in PL terms.
Worse than a striker with a 1 in 34 record?
Because if he isn't then he's going to be a good signing.
We are replacing a donkey with a goal scorer. End of.

And? Are you saying they're shite or something?
It's clear Defoe is better than Altidore. I'm not saying Defoe is a bad player. It's not black and white and I gave my opinion on that a few pages back.
I really hope it works.
Ah, you said 'End of'. I'm convinced now, don't know why someone didn't explain it so clearly to me before. Cheers mate.
Based on the past he is a cracking signing, 12 months however away at his age he could've lost something. Still in a swap for jozy plus say thirty k more in wages it's worth a punt he's still the same lad.Anyone thinking Defoe is not good enough for us needs to take up another sport, football is not for them.
I'm absolutely buzzing about this signing but I can understand peoples doubts and their are definite question marks.
1. Does he still have "pace to burn" at 32 years of age? If he does, how long will that last, surely not the 3.5 years of his deal.
2. At 32 years of age, is a 3.5 year contract on a reported £80k a week good financial sense?
3. He was injured a lot for Toronto which restricted him to 22 games in an entire season, as time ticks by, those injuries could become more frequent and take longer to recover.
The fact we've replaced Altidore with Defoe is a massive improvement and I'm chuffed so for now, those little doubts can do one.
Anyone else get sick of the negative anti Sunderland press.
I think all clubs must be fully transparent on transfer fees. As if we're paying 14million for him as reported...
