Defoe talk-in - Roker Hotel tonight

You talk no sense whatsoever! Defoe was a ten minute super sub at best and i said that before he signed and i don't think you will find anyone who thought he was a direct replacement for Stewart.
I think you are either being a bit revisionist or giving others too much credit.

There was loads of comments in here / twitter / YouTube about Defoe would be the fittest player in the squad, guaranteed goals etc. The mags have made a piss take video from the evidence.

Dont do twitter or you tube ...........if it was mentioned on her i didn't see it ..you can look up my posts but i always said it was a super sub extra signing!More as a psychological lift that we needed i ever expected those clowns not to get other cover for stewart.

Never saw anything about fittest person in squad on here !as it would be utter nonsense and i would have said so!

You tend to reply to my comments kildi and i never said anything like that!Im not playing the hindsight card...9 minutes of football doth not make a fit striker!

How do you know that AN hadn’t told Defoe that he wasn’t going to pick him for the match squad again. Or that AN didn’t want to pick him but Speakman said he had to be in the match squad. All sorts of conversations could have happened behind closed doors which could have resulted in JD retiring, either unilaterally or through mutual agreement.
I don't know that, but to me that would be a stupid thing for a manger to say to a player that we might need. If we had 6 forwards then fair enough but we don't. It does feel lkie we haven't been told the whole story though.

Super sub.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Couldn't even host a talk-in with Nick Barnes.

No phones were confiscated, 1 lad who had been recording the whole thing on his phone was told to delete the video he'd been taking, everyone was asked not to record or any journos to leave and the little nob thought he would be clever and was caught.
You’ve been saying he retired because of a hamstring injury. Sorry for not believing one word you’ve got to say.

As a journalist Nick Barnes could have probed him more instead of being so sycophantic & letting that little George kid ask him pointless questions about Borini.

Nick barnes is hopeless man doesnt dare to want to rock the boat & spoil his cushy radio job

Defoe knew he was past it....
Cluelessman waved the money and said how all the fans wanted him back.
Defoe let his heart rule his head and said to Cluelessman he can still "do it."

The clubs new " model" of seeing what the player is, young squad , statistics, age , stats....went out of the window.......

The misty eyed on here had Defoe scoring the winner in the play off final....

After 4 games and defenders taking the ball off him in seconds etc etc.....

the truth hits home ........

Defoe is past it....

Cluelessmans abiltys is to organise under 15s football matches in Birmingham and here he is totally out of his depth ......
What i want to know is....who the hell reccomended him ??????

Alas....Same old ......same old ....for us the supporters.....

He has, why is he not being sued for breach of contract unless he's been told he can't play ? I also posted at the time what happened at The Roker hotel, I was on the table next to the lad filming.

Breach of contract?

Someone needs to tell the manager as he knows nothing of a hamstring injury. Said he trained completely fine
