Time is on KLD's side

There was never any need for him to pay a premium while we're in the third division.

If we were in the championship he might see it differently and happily cough up whatever price was agreed.

You'd think the cash burn rate is more sustainable for him than for the Oxon paupers.

If it drags on into next season , which is now the most likely outcome, Madrox might be forced to take what's on offer.

The downside of this waiting game is that fans' lives are ticking by marked only by repeated visits from obscure little clubs we've hardly ever played before who duly give us the runaround . Unapologetically , we are offered a League 1 team to watch. For the first time in the club's history, over a prolonged period ( 5 years !) most of the professional football clubs in England are better than us.

KLD seems to have bought in to Madrox's thinking that League 1 can be escaped without major expenditure , relaying on data and moneyball bollocks .

Like you say time is on his side, which as supporters is hard to take at times, as we thought we were getting a billionaire owner that was going to buy us out of the league.
However I do think he is doing most things right, we've had some bad injuries this season which I don't want to make as an excuse as that is part and parcel of football, but when you look at the calibre of some of the players we have brought in compared to previous seasons, I'm not sure why we havnt ripped this league apart with the squad we have, that I can only put down to having the wrong head coach which both KLD and Speakman have to be held responsible for.
I do think if dumb and dumber were out the way there would have been more investment, however for every £1M transfer they have to put in £590,000 and that's the problem, I do think KLD will get it right but unfortunately from a supporters point of view we want it right now and realistically we should, like I've already said with the recruitment so far I strongly believe KLD would have expected promotion this season and nothing less which is why LJ went

I heard from the lad that organised it his agent tried to cancel last minute but JD said no he wanted to do it.
